That's not a bad team at all but i think Danyon Hume 4.84 and Hook 3.74 (??) instead of Wright (5.10) and Nielsen (3.75) would be much more preferable and if not Danyon then perhaps the club could look to snag Dan Thompson on a 4.86 (??) * i have no clue if Dan's average is 4.86, i'm just going on his 2023 rolling with a 2.5% deduction from that figure. ** Connor Coles would be a great number 7 in this season's league and Edinburgh would be lucky to get him. 1 Picko 2 Borke 3 Kye 4 Danyon or Dan 5 Riss 6 Hook 7 Coles

Didn't the club say that they would name the entire team by the end of November?

God help Berwick if that's the case

4 clubs were well adrift this year

SGB Championship 2024 Confirmed Signings

Controversial opinion and i know it's early days but is Ben Cook really a number 5, even in this year's weaker league? -
SGB Championship 2024 Confirmed Signings
Nickinho replied to bloom89's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'm glad someone has finally gotten around to doing this, i did last year's one and it was a pain in the ass. I wish you the best of luck -
Connor at 4?
-
I was thinking that myself. His average last year was detrimental to team building but on a 6 and a half point average i think a lot of team bosses will definitely be considering him.

Where is Stevie Worrall headed?
-
1 Worrall, S 7.84 2 Borke 4.00 3 Thomson 6.48 4 Flint 6.40 5 Howarth 7.77 6 Thompson J. 3.51 (he was averaging 7 points per meeting throughout the latter stages of last season) 7 Harrison/Boughen/Who Cares 2.00 The final average is exactly 38.00
-
Perhaps he shouldn't have been trying to lower his average whilst guesting for Edinburgh in the play-offs then.
-
I think Howarth is on a 7.77 (?) average. He would be a far better fit than Sedgman who ended the season looking like an NDL rider.
-
They are both more than adequate riders who give it their all but I just think Bastian has what American sports pundits call a 'higher ceiling' mostly on account of his age (BB will be 22 next season whereas Lasse will be 26). I believe Lasse is as good as he is ever going to get.
-
If i were the Monarchs' management i'd definitely take Borke over Lasse. I wouldn't have to think about it twice.
-
I'm not sure Wolbert would come back to Armadale but Riss would be a good number 3 in that line-up if he is 100% fit next year. *I'd give Clegg a wide berth though after last season, especially if his average is over 4 points

Certain councils in Britain are not interested in saving what they see as British 'legacy culture' which is why every sport except football is being allowed to die (rugby League, speedway etc). The cultural landscape is being reshapeed purposefully to better suit the newer cultures who have no real interest in the old ones. I know what i am saying may be controversial but go take a glance around your local speedway stadium next time you're there and look at the demographics of the spectators and you will see what i am alluding to, especially if you also understand the demographics of Poland and then factor in their country's relationship to speedway and how well it is doing there. In many cities there are no new generations who are being brought up like we were or even being raised in the same cultural environment. I've been saying this for the past few years and everybody looks at me like i've fallen from Mars but speedway won't exist in Britain within the next 30 years when the indigenous cultures are all but gone no matter how much it bids to appeal to the newer ones. Enjoy British speedway whilst it lasts as it certainly won't be around forever.

PLYMOUTH GLADIATORS TV 2023 REWIND STREAMS
Nickinho replied to SpeedwayPortal's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I watched all last seasons' Plymouth rewind meetings on Youtube and they were very enjoyable. Thanks for posting them up. -
I know that but neither Danyon or Borke come close to being regular winning scorers from the 3 and 4 positions.
-
I can see Harris, Danyon, Lee and Ace starting for the Tigers in 2024 but i don't think Pickering is interested in the Championship anymore. Also i can't see a third heat leader in your septet.
-
"Brown says that the new team will be revealed midway through next month following the British Speedway AGM as the management continue to finalise new riders." No messing around by the sounds of it. Good to hear.
-
I wasn't expecting Basso, Tarasenko and Brennan back but i'm surprised that Claus won't be around in 2024
-
Maybe.
-
That would be a very strong top 3 and 12.06 for a no. 2 and two reserves should be adequate for next season. I feel Redcar are on the cusp of something and maybe next season will be a winning one.
-
I had to read that twice.

Brennan has intimated that he won't be racing in the Championship next season
