  1. This is what I don't understand. Most Tigers fans consider this exciting racing but it's like watching F1. It's often like this and crowds have dwindled but because Glasgow are winning meetings week in and week out it's "exciting". The Sheffield-Ipswich clash last week had a lot of exciting races and overtaking despite the terrible weather and it was considered "boring". Go figure.
  2. You're telling me! I'll be amazed if this meeting ends before Wednesday's 2nd leg.
  3. I cannot describe this as an exciting meeting. 5 heats staged in 50 minutes and the racing has been processional.
  4. Weakest exclusion I've ever seen. Ace can slide off all on his own he doesn't need any pressure put on him to do so
  5. To whoever thought it would be a good idea to hand out those ear piercing air horns to all the kids: I hate you.
  6. I'm looking forward to tonight but i'll be sad to see the racing at Ashfield draw to a close at the end of the proceedings. It's certainly been a very disjointed season this year so hopefully next year will be a lot better in that respect. Here's to a good result tonight (and Wednesday night) and roll on next season!
  7. Isn't the BSN Cup sponsored though (as well as televised) which means actual real money coming into the sport so why would anyone want to scrap that?
  8. No, I'm no longer buying his behaviour and any team which is crazy enough to sign him had better have a ready replacement for when he 'withholds his services' and does another disappearing act again. I can't even see a Premiership team taking a chance on him either.
  9. Tomorrow's looking good for racing, the flooding happened mainly near Bute and as nobody ever goes there it's not really worth worrying about.
  10. No, the entire meeting was exciting. 101 passes don't necessarily make for a good meeting, occasionally it is good track craftsmanship and the unpredictability of a difficult track which makes a meeting great. I'm not sure what anyone else thinks but i'll leave the meeting up here so others can see it if they haven't already: Speedway British Premiership: SHEFFIELD TIGERS v IPSWICH WITCHES - GRAND FINAL, 2ND LEG , OCTOBER 5 - YouTube
  11. Whenever Ace falls off he acts like every bone in his body is broken. Every time. Not sure if it's a teenage thing or not.
  12. Tell that to Josh, Doyley and Harris who all took part in some incredible overtaking. But yes it was boring if you say so.
  13. Sheffield managed to put on a great final in teeming rain the other night
  14. Connor Coles would suffice if Berwick don't plan on resigning him
  15. Says the dude who got worked up be someone saying that the meeting was on Sunday afternoon
  16. In that case scrap Clegg and bring in another 2 pointer. Still leaves a lot of points to play with for the two heat leader spots.
  17. Yes i know that. And i also know that evening begins at 6pm but 6pm to me will always be the afternoon. Quit being so pedantic.
  18. My suggested team line-up for next season if there are two leagues and only 8 teams in the Championship: 1 ? 2 Tate Zischke 4.00 (?) 3 Erik Riss 6.85 (?) 4 Kye Thomson 6.05 (?) 5 ? 6 Bastian Borke 3.83 (?) 7 Max Clegg 2.00 (1.88) Total: 22.73 This would leave 17.23 points for two heat leaders (8.63 each) if the averages stay at 40 for next season. If the total is 38 then 7.63 would be the remaining figures. * Figures are based on 2023 CMA stats at the speedway-stats website and are not necessarily what they will be revised to next year. ** I don't know if Zischke would come in on a 4 or 5 for the purposes of my post i've put 4 and that's if he gets cleared to ride in the UK after last year's accident.
  19. Great result on Tuesday evening but with the weather the way it is and the reports looking abysmal i can see why this fixture has been moved to Sunday afternoon. Good call by the management.
  20. They could have had TWO kids races in the time this track grading has taken. It's getting Baltic now. I've grown a beard.
  21. Was that Sam's spare bike? He did well to guide it home if it was as it seemed to have a mind of its own.
