  1. Think that's harsh on Berwick who will be fielding Kildemand, Cook and Kemp in their top 3. Sam Hagon is also a lot better than both Glasgow reserves so i'll expect him to take at least 5 rides tonight. The Tigers have a very tough task on their hands. [Edit] For some reason your comment about Berwick in its entirety never came up in this response post for some reason. This forum is glitchy af
  2. Being beaten at home by a side which at the start of the season looked pretty bad on paper is not a good look for Glasgow.
  3. Why is there always a "20 minute wait" for chips at Ashfield? Why is there never any foresight or a second fryer?
  4. Dan T had a good meeting for Team GB if this race is anything to go by:
  5. The last thing anyone should do if going through mental health problems is to turn their back on what they loved doing. A lot of sports stars have come to regret walking away whilst their careers were in full swing. I'm pretty sure he won't feel any better being an ex-rider. Sometimes you've just got to ride the storm until it has passed. Just my opinion on the matter.
  6. This is the most dialled in prediction i have seen in all my years on Speedway Forum although the top 4 is a given as they are easily the best looking line-ups. The only thing i would change is switching Oxford and Workington to 5)Workington and 6) Oxford. Apart from that i 100% agree with your take on the upcoming season.
  7. The 1-5 is the best in the league and Freddy Hodder will be one of the better reserves. It's a very scary looking team indeed and it has league champions written all over it. A great team-build by the Tigers this season and if Ashton continues to improve at the rate he is improving then don't be surprised if Glasgow have 5 heat leaders by the time the play-offs come around

  9. I'm no team manager but i don't think that's the best way to build a team

  11. Paco was mostly a sub-six-pointer before this season and his >7 point average last year was due in part to the league being a lot weaker than in many years as well as his stint as a 2nd-stringer for most of the season. There isn't much between Kye, Lasse and Paco and if you are seriously suggesting that Paco is way ahead of those two then you are very wrong indeed. Lasse was unlucky last year with injuries and his position within the team and most fans would agree that his average should have been higher than it was. He's almost 2 and a half points lower than Paco and i would choose him on that basis alone.
  12. True but it's not far off though. Sedgman, Palovaara and Grahn have signed and i'm sure Max will be back which would leave over 20 points for the last three riders. With an improvement from young Max and a quick transition to British speedway for Mr Grahn this could end up looking a really good team but i still think those 20 points could be allocated better than on a Paco/Thomson combo. This line-up for example: 1 [True number 1] <8.81/8.23 2 Palovaara 5.00 3 Thomson/Paco 6.53/7.11 4 Grahn 5.00 5 Sedgman 7.92 6 Lasse 4.74 7 James 2.00 31.19/31.77 [8.81/8.23]
  13. I think Cairns and Boughen will both end up at either Glasgow or Poole.
  14. I'd be horrified if Paco was a heat leader. Might as well dust off a space in the trophy room for the wooden spoon. It would be good to see him back though, just not on that average. Kye and Lasse are of a similar quality but with lower averages and would be better fits.
  15. Yep, apologies, I meant Max James not Max Perry, I always get the two mixed up
  16. Flint is hardly likely to increase his average and is neither a 1 or a 5
  17. I've said this before but they really need to shift their body weight going into corners and keep turning left
  18. What kind of excuse is that?! You're attitude is really poor. Do you think my grandmother would have survived the mortar shells at Gallipoli with that kind of attitude? She'd have been court martialed and shot and deservedly so! The league should make an exemption for the Tigers and let them have an extra ten points no matter what Poole fans may think. In fact Poole should start with a 14-point limit imho.
  19. 1 - S. Worrall 2 - Foreign 4-pointer 3 - Riss 4 - Lasse 5 - Sedgman 6 - Pijper 7 - Perry
  20. I thought it was supposed to be over in June or July. I think he's probably knocked the speedway on the head. Can't see him coming back.
