Sheffield vs. Belle Vue Grand Final 2nd Leg 13/10/22
FishersGate replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I hope Sheffield pull it off but I just can't see anyone beating Robert Lambert. Its like man city with Haaland...cheat code! -
Possibly but Richie has always loved leicesters track
-
I bet Richie will be Leicester's number two next season

It wasn't by any means abuse. They took it well and agreed with the majority of our points stating the bates were hard work to begin with. -

Not surprised it's a waste of time really. The competition has been a joke. Lions and pirates again it is then ! -

Well that was another side to the story. Myself and a few others were ranting and raving to be fair at Alan Jones and a few other people. The few that were approached did take the concerns on board but all said the same thing.. the bates were hard to work for and made the decision without consulting the fans or anyone -

From speaking to a few lions fans last night there some optimism that we can attract some big names. Robert Lambert was mentioned a few times. Although I'd expect him to be off to belle Vue. Everyone wants mountain back pretty much and most would like Richie Worrall. It's a mystery really. And..also nobody think Harris should be there . We love him but has never got on with the track one bit. -

That's the one big positive for the lions. We have Stewart Dickson...he wouldn't agree to moving up if it meant an average team was put out. So atleast leicester maybe quite ambitious atleast. Stewart is no mug. I could see a grand Prix rider coming or the next basso ? Any ideas who could be available? I'm assuming some riders have already been spoken too if this has been the plan for a while -

Can't see Harris at Leicester unfortunately. Everyone loves him apart from the track -

No idea how the team will line up but we can guess. I expect Dan Thomson at reserve next season in the prem. He would be a useful weapon at home and has improved this season. Just needs more experience. Not sure if Connor Mountain would stay again, he's an asset but not sure Dan n Connor would be strong enough at reserve next year. Definitely could see Richie Worral staying, he loves Leicesters track and would be an ideal number 2. Not sure if Nick Morris would come as he's been at Wolves and seems to do well there. Richard Lawson is a great shout. Josh Pickering would be decent too. Scott Nicholls would be a welcomed with open arms as well. But we really need a few big names to make this work . It's a huge gamble to move away from Saturday nights which proved successful on/off the track. So the team has to be good to keep the locals happy. -
I think he will stay with Berwick. He's had an immense season. Only a few other clubs I could see him going too.

Hope so. But just a small amount to water the track and make it it an even playing field. But forecast is fine if you believe anything the BBC says ! -

I'm hoping Edinburgh make the gate just to get some good racing. A master's and Pickering super show but I somehow doubt it -
What a fantastic comment to read. I was hoping so much for a close meeting so Saturday night at the den would have been a mega atmosphere. Connor Mountain has been consider this year but at the British final and last night he found a 2nd gear from somewhere! I feel sorry for Edinburgh fans. With that team they have you'd have thought they would have atleast drawn on the night. I hope they are back at the tapes sooner than expected. They always build good teams and have passionate fans. Scottish speedway clubs just seem different to English ones, don't know why just seems more historical and the fans are super passionate. Just different folk Im guessing! I hope there is a proper send off meeting for the monarchs sometime before it gets flattened. I'd certainly be tempted to make the trip up!
