  1. Just been on the phone to dad who was at the meeting last night. Said the atmosphere and crowd was terrific. Everywhere was packed out and the belle vue fans were making great noise. He did arrive very early to the track and got let in. He spoke to one of the track men and was adamant the track shouldn't be watered at all, guess what Stewart decides it needs watering does the exact opposite of what should have been done. Oh well Belle Vue probably would have still won anyways. It's a shame that few hundred lions supporters left at the interval. Think they had seen enough. I gave up after heat 2. Becker was terrible, Kemp tries but isn't getting any better. Hagon got stuck in but that's about it. What I did find out is how the programme was bumped to a fiver. 5quid for a programme is a rip off. What a shame. Changes are needed next season for sure. Proper number 5 and new number 6. Wouldn't even mind bringing bad boy Morris back to ride at 4. We will see anyways. Congrats to Belle Vue and already looking forward to next season!
  2. If I was to decide the team I'd probably keep Fricke, Lawson,Masters and Douglas. Only problem is those 4 won't bring any silverware to the club as they aren't quite at that doyle/kurtz level of winning meetings. I'm confident of those 4 atleast 2 of those will stay but I'd like to see new reserves and a big hitter at 5 to support fricke.
  3. I'm pretty confident fricke and becker are staying next season. Becker has close ties with the owner . Fricke on the other hand needs a proper number 5 along side him..
  4. Because the rules are changed midway through the season I'm going to change them myself now. Kings Lynn are true champions now
  5. I think that is possibly one of the worst trophy lifts I have ever seen in my life.
  6. I chuckled out loud reading this. I've never know camera work like Eurosport. It's like Stevie Wonder is coordinator
  7. First of all you can reply to a message by simply clicking on the quote, makes it easier to track conversations rather than random messages appearing not making any sense. Bitter? No if you look at previous posts on other topics I've always said Sheffield are the league winners. So your point is invalid. Congrats on being the play off champions. Belle Vue is a nice club and good fan base. Don't paint a different picture. No bitterness , had a great season supporting the Lions.
  8. In speedway there no such thing as a system..it's make it up as you go along. Sheffield are league winners in my eyes.
  9. We rubbish and we know we are!!!!! According to Sir Phil Morris were better than Sheffield.
  10. Already placing a bet on a war of the roses final next year. Damien Bates has already pencilled it in. Bomber booked as a guest as well.
  11. Phil Morris is such a wet wipe . Sorry having the flu and watching your team lose a final brings out the worst in yourself
  12. Congrats aces play off winners and Sheffield league winners
  13. It was good in the Championship ever since we moved up it's got worse
  14. Whoever decided to water the track must be a belle vue fan.
  15. They watered the track which is probably as stupid Plymouth setting there track on fire
  16. A league title decider would draw the same crowd in a normal fairer system.
  17. Well done Belle Vue play off winners. Glad I didn't go
  18. Why on earth they watered the track is beyond me. Don't they know we perform rubbish on wet tracks ??
  19. Phil Morris pushing more GP riders to Britian is actually financially ruining some clubs.
  20. 6 teams make the league even more embarrassing. Needs 8 ideally. Still always going to advocate for one big league. Sod the GP riders and promote our own kids.
  21. Birmingham have been piss poor for many years now. If tolley wanted the best for Birmingham speedway then he should shut it years ago. I'm assuming he's put in tens of thousands of his own money to the club, just think he could saved all that money returned the club in a much better financial situation. Take a step back to take two steps forward if you get me. Take 3/4 years out save a fortune and pump it back into the club and give it a right go. Instead of just barely surviving and having a rubbish team every season. I don't get this argument of supporters saying ' be grateful that you've got a club to support' , well nobody wants to see a losing team every season and if fans aren't turning up then what is the point? Ofcourse if my club went bust I'd miss it, but would I miss losing every week year in year out watching my club slowly die? No I wouldn't. I'd rather it go for abit and come back with a bang. The closures of Wolves and Peterborough are different, they were successful on and off the track. That's why it going to hurt more. Birmingham on the other hand are disaster and need to start from the very beginning. New stadium, track, location, would that work though? Doubt it. Clearly the brummies are just a poor supported club.
  22. That's what happened with Leicester that is correct. Difference is though Buster saw potential at Leicester. There isn't a lot of hope at Birmingham
  23. Just read it. It's nothing surprising. Club aren't making enough money and need more support. It's great that they aren't throwing in the towel but it feels like a slow closure of the club. Phil Morris should be trying everything in his power to try and get more investors and business's to support Birmingham. It would be a great shame to lose them as I feel they would never come back unless someone had very very very deep pockets. What can we do? Well I'm going to try get down there for the Leicester meetings, every little helps I guess. Fingers crossed they can run next year.
