Rowe is a talented rider for sure. At Leicester he never cracked the track at all and I think his attitude let him down a few times rumour has it. Think he will be a solid signing for Poole though. I want to see young Brits do well.
-
It certainly makes the opening meeting at Leicester more interesting
-
Probably cause most speedway fans have never heard of one !
-
I just use a HDMI cable and plug it in my laptop. Works a treat. An app would be great though but understand it's a big ask
-
From a lions point of view it would be great if he signed for Poole. Always said it from the start that with time and patience he would do well there. Us lions really rate him. Yes his away from is average but he's only just turned 18 .
-
I think we can all agree this is the toughest prediction of who comes where for a long long time. Every team has a case for making the play offs. I keep changing my predictions every day. It's actually fantastic. Didn't want Leicester to move up initially but now I'm a little bit more excited for the season ahead.

Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)

Get there early BUT there a few NHS car parks round the corner that are a few minutes walk to the arena. It's fairly easy to park. -
Leicester lions 2023 (PREMIERSHIP)

I think top 4 is realistic but now other teams have announced some big names it's getting hard and harder to imagine Leicester lifting any silverware. Think this season relies upon the form of Jake Allen and Justin Sedgmen. Fricke will do the business home and away. Lawson is a track specialist at Leicester and is a seasoned pro. Harris is a legend and can still provide big score especially away from Leicester. Morris is the track record holder and will up his average for sure. Dan Thomson will struggle away but he will claim to some big scalps at home. Think if Sedgmen and Allen can master the lions den then who knows. I'm going leicester for 4th spot. -

Here's a crazy idea. How about we run a two legged meeting but with the kids racing instead. I'm sure Leicester could use there national League team and Poole could pick best of the rest so atleast the youngsters have had some more racing experience. Crowds wouldn't be great I know but I'd be up for that.. -
Put it this way, I know someone who is dating a russian girl way before the invasion started. Since then she can't even leave the house. Everytime they try go out for a quick pint or even the shops some up nose tosser will give her non stop abuse. She doesn't support the war and is quite frankly ashamed of what is going on in Ukraine. To all those people that think the signing is wrong and shouldn't happen....would you deny her attending a speedway meeting ? Just cause of where she was born and her accent? Give me a break. Speedway is one big family that welcomes all backgrounds. The timing of the announcement isn't great but what has Emil go to do with Putin ? He's a speedway rider. Simple. He isn't a soldier or isn't firing missiles at anyone. He just wants to turn left and do 4 laps and enjoy his riding.

I hope it doesn't happen it's just a complete balls up. -
I'm taking no notice of social media with this signing. I couldn't give a monkeys where he's from. British speedway needs him and the league looks so much better for it.
-
Can't wait for march 30th now. Seeing Doyle and Emil line up against Fricke and Bomber is super exciting. Bring it on .

God what is going with Peterborough. There was a little bit of excitement in 2023 for them but just sounds like a complete mess right now to me. I don't have any ITK's or gossip to tell so I'm just looking from a speedway fans point of view. That Instagram post is huge from holder . Think of how many Aussies ride here. Lots isn't it? All it takes is one rider like holder to tell his Aussies friends what a shambles Peterborough are. Tungate and Batch clearly aren't favourites either, yes only two riders but Ben cook maybe thinking have I made the right choice? A few new up and coming Aussies maybe ask a few of his pals and say where to ride next....are they going to say the panthers ? Doubt it now. God I hope I'm wrong and genuinely hope that Peterborough are around for many decades to come and have a fantastic team for there great support. Again, I don't have a scooby doo what has happened. I just want to see them at the tapes and have some sustainability along with the rest of British speedway. It's non league stuff right now.
-
You watch him round Leicester he's as good as anyone .
-
I'd have taken Richie at Leicester for sure. I think he's only 30ish and some riders are peaking later than previous times before...I think there is a little bit more to come from Richie for sure. He's no bomber but certainly ain't no mug. Keep the faith panthers...looking forward to you coming to the lions den.

New speedway clubs for fun
FishersGate replied to FishersGate's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I know this was a bad idea... -
With talks of Somerset returning but with a different name I thought it would be abit of fun to see what ideas people would have for new speedway clubs. Here's a few random ones.... The Cardiff Dragons, Bristol Bats, Liverpool Leopards. What part of the UK would they be riding? What kind of track and stadium is it? What's the name and club colours? You get the picture..... On your marks get set GO!
-
Leicester , Birmingham, Coventry, kings Lynn ( and that was rained off before heat 1) yes Im fairly new to speedway
-
Lawson is a steal on that average. Great rider. Thankyou Poole letting him come to the lions
-
This one is harder to predict then the championship. I don't think there is bad team been put together so far. Only predicting finished teams 1. Sheffield - What a side. No weaknesses in this team 2. Belle Vue - One of the world's best at number 1 and a strong main body. Big year for Charley Charles at 3. 3. Leicester - Super strong top 4. Dan Thomson is a weapon at home. Unbeaten at home next season. 4. Kings Lynn - Solid throughout. Just lacks another big hitter. But reserves will be key for kings Lynn 5. Wolves - Solid again but just lacks firepower . Can't see them going many places and winning. Needs another big number 1. Decent reserves though..
-
I forgot about scunny.... Scunthorpe to finish 6th. Decent side that. Mountain should kick on and MPT is a great rider when fit.
-
Woops scunny have a decent team as well! If they go bust half way through il be right!!!
-
Just a wild guess. 1.Poole - Always build great teams and the cook brothers will bring them glory again. 2. Glasgow - Fantastic team, full of entertainment. 3. Redcar - Full of riders that are on the up. If Edwards can kick on then who knows. Great side again. 4. Plymouth - That heat leader trio is strong. Unbeaten at home I reckon for the gladiators next season. My dark horses. 5. Oxford - Best rider in the league plus a great captain. Kerr is a weapon also. I worry about the tail but Jenkins and heeps can claim a few scalps. This one is hard to call 6. Edinburgh - They always build decent sides! If they sign cookie and get him going it's a decent side . The monarchs always provide a surprise. 7. Berwick - it's an ok team. Alot depends on Rory regaining his form and the progression with some of the younger riders. 8. Birmingham - For all the hype from the promotion last season saying they were build an exciting play off challenging team next year...they haven't. Plus side though, they have a brilliant number 1 and hope Ben Pearson pushes on. Would like to be proved wrong . All subject to change ofcourse.
-
That's a team that's going to walk the league
