  1. Fricke will be given time. It's not just fricke that's started poorly at home. Allen has been disappointing so far and Dan T is finding it tough even at home. Morris hasn't even hit big number at home yet. BUT we've only ridden two home meetings and Dickson will give it more time..
  2. Douglas is a decent replacement for Kurtz but still a weaker team without him
  3. Zagar isn't the answer. Holder is or was the answer. Just think the team was built too reliant of pedersen and iversen being injury free. It really isn't a bad side at all just had a dreadful stroke of bad luck that has knocked the stuffing out the team. If the promotion had moved a little smarter and quicker things could have been different. Have a little faith it's still early .
  4. Interesting night of speedway with the main highlight watching Emil brake the track record. He was absolutely phenomenal and one the best riders I've ever seen at Leicester. Just a shame he wasn't riding for us cause he would be perfect at Leicester. Slight disappointed with the result. I think you could tell a few of our riders are still bedding in at leicesters track. Dan has been struggling but he is only 17/18 years old. Allen and max are still getting used to the track and that is probably what cost us last night. Only 5 points from your number 1 is concerning but I can't fault his effort to try re pass a few riders. Ipswich were too good and I think a little patience is needed with this team. I think we will know a lot more how are season is going to pan out after Thursday night against belle Vue.
  5. Yep it's weird cause one race Allen looks ok then next one he looks poor. Morris has been patchy and fricke is still getting used to leicesters track.
  6. Yep and we've struggled tonight . Ipswich look class.
  7. I can confirm the BSPA think this is rubbish idea, the reason for that is because it makes too much sense.
  8. I agree that clubs need to think long term now. Actually like Workington and Leicester building a track in a place that is almost untouchable for housing . Problem is starting everything and guaranteeing profit for the future. I fear clubs in cities are going to be faded out and clubs that are in low populated areas that will survive...just . Half the problem is not enough fans at the gate along with clubs having a lack of control with the stadium and its use..
  9. Really hard to put into a words ANOTHER speedway club to go. I just feel the BSPA won't even care though, I think they would run a 5 team premiership I just think they would! It's ridiculous. One league is the way it's going to go or a northern league/ southern league. The only way to make a club run now is build a track in the middle of nowhere not near a city or housing and have low running costs. So basically bog standard facilities. Where does this end? Honestly who's next? Panthers, monarchs, wolves, Birmingham, mildenhall could all go next season..what a absolute mess. Not to mention the ones we lost before this season like Swindon, Coventry etc.
  10. Yes possibly..I think on a Saturday there was more of party weekend feel to it. Loads of people having beer and sharing a journey together so a few can spend a few quid at the bar. The crowd was decent Thursday but nothing spectacular, maybe the rain had put some people off? I did notice quite a few panthers fans last week which was good to see..
  11. It's a gamble for sure. I was surprised when they announced it. The fans I've spoken to are split on the move. We loved Saturday nights and the crowds were decent. We were almost too good last year especially at home and I don't think it was cheap for the bates paying our riders maximums every Saturday, but that's what you get with a cracking side. It will be weird for me tonight going on a Monday. The usual die hards will be there regardless of the race night . Let's see how I feel about changing race nights come the end of the season
  12. Think Joe Thomson and Hume will be very busy unless Rew can master the track early on. This is very close to call
  13. He looked great and much better than last time he rode at Leicester
  14. He should have signed for us this season to be honest just for his home form
  15. I think I counted we had 5 incidents with bike issues and panthers had four so fairly close.
  16. Quite possibly yes. I can't remember which heat but I stand near the pits and could clearly see Dan's bike packing up
  17. I think it was a fair result really. Every rider team has bike problems and neither team deserved to run away with it. If Nicki was in the team I doubt the scoreline would have been much different. Also that was the first laps any of the the Leicester riders had done at on that track. So it was always going to be fairly close throughout. I expect a similar scoreline at Peterborough with it being fairly tight all the way through. As a lions fan I'm delighted with that result as this was a potential banana skin kinda meeting and we won.
  18. I think last night sums up what the wolves team is up to this season. Toughest team to beat at home but away from monmore there going to struggle. Still think they are going to decent season though..
  19. To be fair I did say that worrall would bang in a load of points. Well done the panthers. It was a gate n go kinda track last night. Frustrating from both teams with many bike issues but I still enjoyed it. Sedgy looks awesome which is a promising sign for the lions.
  20. Slight rain in Beaumont keys. But nothing to scare us yet
