Peterborough v Leicester 29/05/23
FishersGate replied to scoobydoo's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I like howarth but Stewart must be pulling his hair out knowing our captain and our best rider at Peterborough is out today. If we lose then Im going to be slightly disappointed with bomber. -
Leicester v Kent - Saturday 27 May

The back straight near the pits is a cracking place to stand. See the riders go in and out the pits and the racing looks quicker as well. Only downside is it's a little noisier and it's a longer to walk to the burger van and bar! -

I just wish they opened the rest of the stadium up. Missed my spot on the second bend. -
Just curious why the track was prepared the way it was tonight. Clearly too grippy for the kids and seemed the complete opposite from Monday. Surely the other way round would make sense. But then again I'm no expert.

Either this is complete wind up or something else entirely!

Ipswich v Leicester May 25th
FishersGate replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Good result for lions. Just starting to click now. I do think Ipswich could still do us at home though but it sounded like a decent meeting. Well done to both teams . -
I like Lambert. He seems old school and just gets on with it. Tries hard and has done some decent work with kids looking at getting into speedway. Top bloke.

Camera needs to be a metre or so higher. Strange viewing angel for me. BSN must be loving this
-
Footage ain't great.
-
Crowd looks dreadful
-
So you can beat us again!!? Lol
-
Still don't understand why we moved the leagues. I haven't spoken to anyone who prefers the prem and Thursday/Monday nights.
-
Should have never moved race nights don't think anyone even asked for it
-
I can't help but laugh at the current situation. Dropping a young talented rider in Joe Thompson for a worse rider in ablitt along with Max Clegg who struggled in a top Leicester team. For all those who said it was 'the right call' ,' it makes sense', 'sorry Joe that's speedway' I can't help but think god what absolute clanger you've dropped there. I bet Joe's family have a cheeky smile on there face knowing Joe has signed for a club on a few miles down the road for them and the Scunthorpe management are slightly red faced !
-
Sheffield to nip this in a last heat decider. We've seen many top riders this year go to Leicester and show you don't need many laps around Leicester to crack it. Bewley and Emil have proved that. So I think Tomas and holder will be fine. Howarth will be key for them

BRUMMIES V EDINBURGH Wed 17th May CL

It's amazing how every speedway fan could see the team was naff but the so called expert manager can't! -
Poole Vs Redcar BSN SF 1st leg 17th May

I sometimes find the better quality of rider the worse the racing is! -
Maybe a proper playstation or Xbox speedway game is in order. Like I've said before every other sport do it and it constantly engages the fans. I used to play FIFA every day in my teens and it kept me hooked during the off season.
-
Should have never have changed race nights! We all know god doesn't want it to rain at Beaumont park on a saturday as he's obviously a lions fan.
-
Opinions are like a#se holes everyone's got one ! Theres always more advertising a club can do. I don't see it being no where as hot as other sports advertising. Shopping centres and buses is all good but it's social media that's the key now. And most clubs are crap at it. This is coming from a younger fan.

12.05.2023 - Scunny v Glasgow BSN Series SF L1
FishersGate replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
atleast mountain is racking a few quid for himself. He should have signed for a prem team. Leicester cough cough.. -
They have improved the capacity of the tanks and that's it from what was I told. But I could be wrong. So if it rains the tanks can take more the track remains the same condition

Oxford v Leicester - Weds 10 May
FishersGate replied to PotteringAround's topic in National League Speedway
He's said he feels rusty cause he's not having consistent meetings. He wants a championship move -
I'm missing the one due to due holiday commitments but maybe the weather gods may decide the outcome anyways. Another tough meeting for both sides. Losing Pickering is big boost for Leicester. Brennan is a decent replacement but is no Josh. Interesting to see if KK can produce some magic. I heard someone say he got a 15pt max one time at leicester? Klint goes well there along with TJ. I do think if fricke can ride like he did last week then the lions will pull through. 52-38 lions .
