  1. Ain't gonna bother going this one. Seen Ipswich twice already this season and it's on the Tele. A little boring this one for me.
  2. To put it like this the doubling up doesn't bother me that much really , not ideal but since going to speedway as a youngster that's all I've known really. What annoys me more is seeing the same teams every week. Leicester have got Ipswich on Monday AGAIN. 3rd time already and no doubt in the play offs were gonna see a team at Leicester 4 times! It's too much and it's boring. I ain't bothering going Monday as it's on the TV so there's already the faffing about plus I've seen doyle & Emil too many times already. I probably won't go Sheffield either, again seen them at Leicester before so it loses its spark. That's 42quid the club has lost due to its rubbish format and league. We need one league asap with the big riders sodding off and blooding the kids. Crowds would drop but so would rider costs and British youth will improve.
  3. I'd say it is and isn't paying off. Crowds are slightly down and I've found the racing less exciting but we are winning on the track which is giving lions fans a buzz.
  4. Bring back the good old days prem days of finishing bottom riding on the graveyard shift
  5. I missed the title winning season and since coming back someone had to tell me we won something. Be nice if it was displayed in some way
  6. First initial thoughts. Worrying times for my club and I didn't see this coming. Let's hope a buyer is sorted. I stand with Dave Helmsley near enough every week and he's still passionate about the club so maybe he can pull a few strings and get a few parties interested. From the statement it sounds like the club on/off the track is doing fine which may encourage a new buyer. I don't think it's making huge sums of money but I think it's certainly manageable compared to other clubs. I kind of have mixed feelings on the whole situation really. I don't really know what to make of it. It says it's down to health reasons and if so it's the right call and health comes first. But it just seems odd to me. The questions I have in my head right are ones I will have to be patient with. Is there more to this than meets the eye? Is it current state of British speedway played a factor that's encouraged this decision? Has the change of race night cost the club money? Who is interested in buying the club ? Are we about to lose another club ? What can the supporters do to help? If any people inside the club that are on this forum please let us know of anything we can do to support the lions. And no I'm not going to buy the club even though I think about every day if I won the euro millions!
  7. It's funny how people backing the move to the premiership were saying ' oh it's better than beating everyone week n week out easily ' . Guess what? We're doing that again !
  8. I've said now that even if it's a home match I'm just going to watch it on the TV now. Can't be arsed with the waiting like you said.
  9. That's what I was thinking also. I just keep thinking why nick why nick? Must have panicked or something Im not sure.
  10. I've heard every rumour under the sun. It was hot topic in the stands last night and I still don't have a solid answer, but from what I heard the most last night is that he was using cannabis oil to treat injuries. It tested positive of course. I also heard his urine sample was full of cold water but again only heard it from one person. Still don't know if that's what happened only nick Morris will know the answer. I imagine he's going through alot of mental struggles right now as I know speedway is his life and income.
  11. Maybe Craig cook is a better shout although I don't know if Dickson is a fan
  12. I can't see batch kicking on. I agree with some of the above comments. He looked poor last night. Way off the space. Hopefully SD can get a tune out of him but from what I saw last night I wasn't hopeful. Who else is out there?
  13. Will bomber ever like Leicester's track? Honestly watching him every week and I haven't seen any improvement at home
  14. Really hope this is going to be a little closer than it looks on paper. Laguta should like Leicesters track like Emil. Howarth should get the better of batch and bomber and klint is a track specialist at Leicester. Even Simon Lambert has had good meetings at Leicester before. So I hope it's close .
  15. He would have been fine also. There isn't many riders available and cookie is abit like batch, not out favourite but we know there is talent there.
  16. Batch is a fine signing. Who else could we get? Atleast Dickson likes him and I'm sure like sedge he's got a point to prove. Lawson moves to 5 now
  17. Birmingham shot themselves in the foot before a bike was turned putting that dreadful side together.
  18. The track is but Glasgow were the main issue. If you want to win the play offs you need a team that can gate and race not a team just full of racers.
  19. What's the next closest track to where he lives? Doesn't he own land in birmingham somewhere or am I wrong ?
  20. Were getting water from the pond currently
