  1. I believe it was looked at when Speedway first came to Peterborough. It was never considered suitable for a number of reasons including its proximity to housing.
  2. Would it be a good idea, who knows, but it's 50 miles from where I am in the northern conurbation of PBO (an hour drive at least) so it's not really close. Leicester is actually slightly closer to Brafield than that at 48 miles, and Oxford closer still at 45 miles. Brafield may be a potential venue for a team for either Northampton or Milton Keynes, but I think it would be too big a stretch to call it Peterborough.
  3. I'm from Sheffield originally and my parents still go there. Travelling up is not so easy as it used to be as the A1 is constantly busy nowadays, but yes, I can get back in a little over 90 minutes.
  4. Was hoping to go to Mildenhall but things have scupered that. Probably go to Sheffield a few times, maybe Leicester for NDL.
  5. Oh has it? The letter I got from the Council today (as an objector) only said it's been referred to that meeting, didn't mention anything about a refusal!
  6. I see your point, but it's like asking a Tottenham fan to support Arsenal. Yes it's the same sport in the same league, but it's not "the same".
  7. C. Mildenhall. Lynn and Leicester are awful tracks and Leicester is a massive PITA to get to due to the ring road. Can't see more than a handful of Panthers fans making the trip to either regularly - it's as much about supporting the team than just going to Speedway because it's there.
  8. There will be costs involved in leaving the Showground such as removal of plant, equipment, vehicles, flood lights and buildings so I imagine it'll help pay for some of that.
  9. Once again failing to "read the room". Granted some things that have been posted are borderline slanderous but there are better ways to deal with it.
  10. I won't be suprised if the track and grandstand are demolished by the end of October. Or mysteriously catch fire. Funny how these things accidentally happen. Like that pub in the West Midlands...
