Everybody has their own issues and there are hundreds of riders in this country that ride week in week out that do not behave the way Cook does. In terms of team building for this season Glasgow definitely made the right call getting him out the team. On his day he was an absolute monster on a speedway bike(pun intended) but sadly those days are long gone and reading the article about him in the paper I have no sympathy for him either.

Yes I do think it would be insensitive, but it is what people do whether you think that is right or wrong was not my point. As for rubbernecking, well done for not doing it but as you mentioned the police are cracking down on it and I would imagine that is because the overwhelming majority do, do it.

Please do not try pretend that that overwhelming vast majority of people are not interested in this. The same applies when a crash occurs on the opposite side of the motorway and everybody starts rubbernecking to see the accident bringing the traffic to a near stand still as people simply cannot help themselves If I posted a YouTube link to the incident right now I can guarantee 99 percent of this forum would be clicking it. No different than all the speedway crash videos having the most views online or the papers suddenly becoming interested in the sport when something like this happens. There is a difference though between being interested in seeing an incident for yourself and some of the absolute drivel that is posted on here which can be insensitive. We have seen this story before with other riders. He is certainly fast enough to be mixing it but I personally think he needs to add a little bit of ruthlessness to his racing. Tom only ever seems to follow the riders in front around looking for a cut back.

If there is a top 100 list of reasons why speedway is going downhill I can comfortably reassure you that referees making bad decisions does not make it anywhere near that list.

With all due respect I was responding to Mr Davie in relation to him saying ‘they might be good at business but not speedway’ regarding the Facenas. I was merely pointing out what the tigers had won and how well they have done without winning the league over the last 8 seasons.

Since 2015 the tigers have reached the play off final three times and the semi final 3 times. Won the pairs in 2019 which counts as winning something, no? I would pay money to see what you would moan about if we had won the league the last 8 season straight. Probably come away with saying none of them count as we bought every one. Try to relax and enjoy yourself Davie boy.
