  1. Unfortunately in Kinsley we seem to have got another Danny Phillips who is not ready for championship racing, I really want him to score a few points but how long can he keep his place when scoring zero’s. Scunny at the moment cannot carry any passengers.
  2. Agreed, the Plymouth riders attacked the track a lot more, none more so than Dan Gilkes who had a tremendous meeting up until the unfortunate accident, we were having good banter with a Plymouth supporter in front of us who turned out to be Dan Gilkes grandad who was with 2 lasses, obviously they were visibly upset rushing to the pits so not only best wishes to Dan Gilkes for a speedy recovery but to his family as well.
  3. Congratulations to Plymouth on a well deserved victory, far superior at gating and even Bowtell who failed to score rode well, commiserations to Dan Gilkes on his injury. As for Scunny very disappointing, Kinsley and Lambert are National league riders while Palin seems to be going through a lack of confidence phase and it doesn’t help that Scunny have the worst team manager in the world, why use Douglas as a tactical substitute so early in the meeting, total waste.
  4. This is going to be close as Plymouth are a lot stronger with a guest instead of Kennett, let’s hope for the usual good racing, need Lambert to join the party and Kinsley to score something.
  5. Could have been more if Lambert could score points away but no doubt there will be a boring reply from someone stating he is in the team to score at home but even at home he is struggling.
  6. I must say I think Lambert has overstayed his place in the Scunny team, been around too long now.
  7. An excellent meeting on another cold night which Birmingham played their part, the efforts of Ashley Morris and James Shane’s deserved more points but Stefan Nielsen rode like he had never been to Scunny before, Zaine Kennedy was my man of the match and won’t be reserve for long.
  8. Can’t see that happening unless Ellis suddenly takes a liking to the EWR as he was poor last year and Auty rides like he used to.
  9. Can you elaborate on that post, does he not like the management / track / the team / or has he had enough of speedway etc.
  10. Well I got that totally wrong, fair play to the Scorps, a well deserved win
  11. Love your optimism, hope your right but can’t see it, more like Leicester getting 4 points
  12. Definitely a Leicester win, Jake Allen failed to score at Sheffield tonight so hasn’t found any form yet so could be a pasting tomorrow with Morris, Howarth and Worrall and track specialist Connor Mountain ( oh why haven’t we got him instead of Simon Lambert) and not forgetting the Thompson twins.
  13. Hope Scunny win but I believe Leicester have a more solid team, gonna need an inform Jake Allen and Simon Lambert to do something to send the Lions packing, 41-49 to Leicester unfortunately
  14. Unfortunately Good Friday is just another work day for me so won’t be able to attend, mind you might be a blessing in disguise as I can only see Leicester keeping up their winning streak at the EWR.
  15. Ambition has nothing to do whatsoever with a budget, whether you are on the bottom rung or top you need ambition or you just might as well give up.
  16. So roughly half the away tracks Scunny riders can’t ride , doesn’t bode well then, I always find it a bit strange when the Scunny side is always set up to win most home meetings and to get hammered away because it is pointless making the playoffs as they are decided on a home and away match which Scunny has no chance to win on aggregate.
  17. Yes another big pay packet to come out of the Leicester finances
  18. Can’t see Auty lasting the season anywhere, it’s why he didn’t fit into Scunny’s plans, can’t gate at all and seems to have lost enthusiasm.
  19. Wow! Scunthorpe at no4, i’ll have whatever your drinking.
  20. Seems like most Scunny riders apart from Douglas and a lesser extent Kennedy don’t like away tracks, Leicester could have put the Cubs side out and probably still have won.
  21. Even Zaine Kennedy only managed to beat an opposition rider once to become 2nd highest scorer
  22. Unfortunately 3 of the teams that will be battling for the wooden spoon, Newcastle, Birmingham and Scunthorpe have been involved in these away matches
  23. Still don’t think Scunny will beat Leicester home or away this season, too many passengers in the team.
