  1. Never before in 40 years of watching speedway had I seen a start like that. Lambert had been warned that he was not coming to the tapes by the referee and the start marshall. The time was up and the green light was on. Four times Lambert rolled back and was pulled back by the start marshall. Yes FOUR TIMES! Kemp was hesitantly edging forward meanwhile Jack Smiths clutch was burning away. The smell and black s smoke billowing from the engine. The referee eventually let the tapes go and Lambert went on to win the race. The red lights should have come on and Lambert excluded for delaying the start. The referee did nothing to back up the starting marshall. Smith lost his temper with him but it was the referee who should have got his wrath. Mr Dishington showed that he was incapable of controlling a speedway match. He should be struck off the referees list. The whole spectacle was embarrassing! For the sport and especially the standard of refereeing!
  2. I thought Berwick despite engine failures and falls leading to two rider withdrawals recovered valiantly. They all gave it everything. Never threw it in. Rory was fantastic in Heat 15 . How he squeezed Pickering and Sedgmen was breath taking.
  3. Well done the Berwick Promotion . I said You must sign Stevie Boxall. You delivered. Not only that we now have a world class rider in place of Thomas. Credit where it's due especially after the criticism I gave to Jamie and Scott Courtney last week.
  4. Yes. James Pearson and Steve Boxall are riding at Workington today. Looks like it will be Jack Killeen at reserve today. We need a rider for Thomas as his crash yesterday looked horrendous on a over watered Armadale track. Justin Sedgman or Jake Allen maybe? Rider replacement will be throwing the towel in the ring!
  5. And another thing. Why Mr Jamie Courtney are Berwick even thinking of using Jack Killeen v Redcar. Using Berwick Speedway as guinea pigs for your other team Oxford . Beginning to see where your priorities are this season!
  6. After tonight's performance at Edinburgh tonight Steve Boxall must be in the Berwick team tomorrow! I don't care if he rides at reserve or replaces Thomas In the team. I thought he rode brilliantly. Put a few riders to shame how he rode tonight.

  8. At the stadium. Has not rained in the last for the last 2 hours. Ground is dry, very windy with low cloud. The odd spit of rain in the air. Riders turning up. All systems go!!
  9. Lee Complin rides Armadale better than Connor Bailey? Keeps Connor Bailey fresh for ithe British u21 meeting tomorrow. Just my thoughts.
  10. Getting a gating lesson tonight. Tigers very lacklustre. Atmosphere at track like a morgue. Piper out ohis depth. Complain looks burnt out. Missing Basso without doubt a big miss especially with the composition of this team. The Pole hasn't turned up either. Not happy with Tigers tonight!
  11. Can someone tell me why this race was not awarded to Jack Holder? In GB racing it would have been. Why do the other two riders get another bite of the cherry? Clearly going into the last lap Holder had won the race. Is it different in grand Prix. To me it lacks common sense.
  12. The biggest Homer referee of all time. Zmarzlik should have been excluded. Race should have been awarded. Holder and Doyle both robbed. Referee lost his bottle The speedway world is intimidated by Poland. When they say jump the rest of speedway says how high!
  13. Mind you don't drown in Ukrainian blood! Don't come crying to me when the Russians have destroyed your house and your door slams into your arse. Believe me I want to conquer the world. Put the TV on and open your eyes!
  14. I think they are dipping their toes in the water to see what reaction they get. From the government, BSPL, sponsors and supporters . I tell you mine I will cancel the 3 season tickets I was going to buy and my sponsorship. I will be finished with speedway.
  15. No chance of getting a visa. None. Russia is at war with Ukraine. Russia is destroying a beautiful country. People are dying. What sort of message is Speedway giving out here?
  16. Very lucky that at Glasgow, Edinburgh and Berwick you have each one or two exciting riders. Cookie on his day, Basso, Master, Pickering and Harris . Fantastic riders.
  17. Too many officials ie referees and club officials and their friends think they are above rules like the one above. I find a lot of them arrogant. Too many freebies in the sport. He wasn't the referee so why is he allowed in pits area etc. Too many hangers on in this sport. Get your wallets out and pay like Joe public and obey regulations at the stadium.
  18. The track staff at Glasgow are the best in the country. They knew what their track needed despite pressure from riders, officials and spectators. It needed time to dry out and then graded. It was perfect come five pm. You have days like this in Scotland with the weather. To those that left you missed a good meeting. Speedways biggest enemy is the weather. Hats off to the riders who in nearly all cases were patient and got on with it. The referee deserves credit for he was calm during the whole proceedings. Everyone I have mentioned deserves credit where it due. Well done!
  19. Wow! I can't believe what I'm reading here. There's 3 tracks almost gone recently and Leicester fans are moaning over a double header costing £26 tonight. Get out and support your team and promotion. You have an exciting championship and national League teams . Back it or lose it!!!!!
  20. The last heat tonight was one of the best races I have seen all season. Twice Bomber gave Cookie a hard time in the first two heats. Chased hard in heat one . Made a start in heat 13 but Cookie got through the first two bends inside. Heat 15 chased Cookie hard for 3 and half laps and never gave up. Dived into bend 3 moved Cookie over and won the race. Had a strategy and it worked Chris Harris is an unbelievable speedway rider and when the day comes when he retires speedway will be poorer for it. A absolute legend!
  21. Fantastic news. Just about to go to bed and saw this unbelievable news. Really made up. Need now to get a supporters group like the Edinburgh Trust.
