  1. I mean it's 2 weeks away, have the asked for more volunteers? Redcar doing a lot of things right but this is a bit odd
  2. Rides in polish 1st Division with zielena gora I think now. I suspect does Denmark and/ or Sweden hence not over here. Sure Plymouth might have sounded him out to replace Kennet
  3. Gp challenge taking shape. Thomsen, fricke, huckenbeck, Nilsson, j. Holder, wyzniak, lebedevs and tungate. Good field so far
  4. It's as simple as this, when the paupers became kings the kings became paupers.
  5. I'm not their accountant and nor are you so let's just face it it's all conjecture as to who's getting paid what. I'll continue to ignore mentions of the "team manager" as my feelings about him will be perfectly clear on other threads
  6. They have the pockets to maintain it so what's the issue? No different to any other sports, except wealthy owners in those sports seen as a positive, but in speedway seems aim has been to chase the facenna's out. End of the day we can only have 7 riders fitted to a set average to any one time. If we pay more so be it, but that doesn't effect what other clubs should offer so should have 0 effect on the sport as a whole. Wouldn't have won SON without our owners support imo, only place you'll see test matches in this country thanks to our owners. But they're bad for the sport in this country? Figure that one out
  7. As predicted, the Workington chip on shoulder appeared after the current promotion took over. Was always very friendly when we "were in our place" losing to the comets home and away every year. Soon as dared look like might have wee bit success whole attitude changed. Never mind that in the Thomas era it was Workington who were doing they very things you "hate" about us
  8. Not a track we've been successful on. Too bit of a skelping last season if memory serves. Another I'd take happily walk away with a point from. Especially given last weekends debacle
  9. After few days to consider the result I'll go with my initial reaction. Ian Steele was sacked for less. And the quote, danyon unlucky in his ride finished last. couldn't take him out. Just more evidence not up to the job, need to be ruthless in the and broc should no doubt been in heat 14. Would middlo, pete Adams, rossco etc have made that decision? Not a chance
  10. Glad got stuck in roadworks on way back from largs missing this. Shambles
  11. Pretty shawdy effort, usually throw 1 in a season at the dump. Few arses need kicked before take on the select side tomorrow
  12. Ulle's form is a huge concern, struggled again for Peterborough last night. Hopefully as no need for power at the dump won't be as evident tonight but he'll be needed on Saturday
  13. Read again and was in answer as to why the Sunday staging wasn't then reverted to. What's that to do with rawicz
  14. It's funny, I used to quite like Poole in the elite league days. Tony Rick, mark loram, Noddy and Darcy some of my favourite riders to watch, obviously oblivious to whatever rule bending went on at that time. I'd say there's a few fans have a superiority complex I guess, but it's a good wee rivalry got with ourselves and the pie rats. Look forward to the meetings and hopefully get one over on them this season
  15. You did not so long ago, "you'd need to ask the home club". Read between the lines of the statement too pretty obvious who it's aimed at
  16. Not on mailing list and don't do the cesspits that are Twitter and Facebook. So as I said poorly promoted as missed a large part of the support who, like me are in the same boat. Do you think there will be no announcement on the website or nationwide about that meeting? It's the first issue I've had in this regard, indeed has been no release on website since the Poole draw, not even a quote following the win at Berwick.
  17. Masters and Pickering will win races anywhere, if Thomson or Paco have an on night too only takes a few points from elsewhere and they're in with a chance. Be mad to write them off as I've seen one person do already (although pretty sure the rod was out with that one)
  18. Could this be the end of Harris's guesting exploits
  19. Given Edinburgh's recent choice of guests and acceptance of this fixture is anyone else of opinion they have basically written this season off? Putting all efforts, understandably, into finding a new home.
  20. Was poorly promoted IMO. Nothing on website I only knew was on from bspl website
  21. I believe Tom Brennan is too. Any news if he'll be missing? Or would he get 28 day ban if didn't fulfill a UK fixture in preference for Poland?
  22. You don't improve a product by reducing the quality to the lowest denominator. That's a recipe for disaster quicker than British speedway is going already. I think sedgys form so far in comparison to the 2 names aforementioned would be very desirable. As I understand the rules can apply for visas after 12 months, Grant's been in charge for far longer although I know some dispute with this being a new company I've read elsewhere might be why taken so long. Even that situation, look at Birmingham. They've used belle Vue to sponsor Pearson and Glasgow to sponsor sedgy. There are way around it if you wish to find them. I mean what do we do next season if a club decided to build 3/4 points below that points limit? Just keep reducing it? Here an idea, put bonus points back in GSA's. Job done
