  1. Good for spud, hope gets back to his best. Assume the Berwick connection got that one done
  2. I think Blair's issue is he can't gate, which gets away with in NL but won't in the champ. Stoneman from little I've seen seemed to be in the mix out 2nd bend so might score few points. Especially at no pass shielfield
  3. Similarly if go back further with nick Morris and Rob Branford in their Buxton days. Rob looked in some ways better prospect but never got above champ reserve, while nick gone on to far better things. Funny old world speedway
  4. Excited to see Knudsen ride in Britain, see he rides for same team as basso in Denmark. Minor side note is there a brother, jesper or is that just coincidence with the surname like Nicki and bjarne? Only ask as if one could be persuaded into Britain so might the other?
  5. No absolutely not. It's up to the TM to source the best possible rider available. But what hear from some of these teams are these riders will be the lions, monarchs etc of the future. Yet when an opportunity to blood one of the junior side into the main team arises, very rarely seems an opportunity is given. I mean did Leicester really need Edwards at Newcastle yesterday? Prime example where an opportunity could've been given to a younger rider.
  6. Yup sorry my bad, confused the 2 situations
  7. I expect it's more to do with advice as we went through it signing nowak last season. But if another basso style opportunity arises then why should we say no
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong but to my knowledge only Oxford used their own CL rider to replace a 6/7 who was injured so far this season even as a guest for those clubs with NDL sides. Edinburgh never used an armadale rider to replace sarj. Berwick have signed stoneman over one of their sides. Plymouth signed mcgurck over one of their riders to replace Atkins and used guests who didn't ride for the junior side before signed him. Leicester using Edwards predominantly to replace Rowe rather than promote a cub. Begs the question what's the point?
  9. So much for no riders being available!! On paper looks a cracking signing Knudsen, interested to see how he gets on.
  10. 100% agree. I'd think we just be about 10-20 points down if tallied results between heats 11 and 15 prior to today. No need for the total regrading that goes on imo
  11. Is Palin going to need to leave EWR if he is to improve? Should be doing better than that imo. In danger of becoming a one track pony
  12. By all accounts, while frustrating that I've now missed the meeting, looks like correct decision was made, times seem about usual and seems to have been something approaching racing. Well done to track staff, riders and the supporters patient enough to have sat through the delay
  13. This is my point, same people on criticising this decision would be on saying it's ridiculous calling it off based on a forecast. You can't win.
  14. 5pm start now, I'm no hanging around. Can't predict the showers so no hassle aimed at promotion but I've no got 5 hours spare to sit around
  15. More rain in the forecast. I'd suggest if don't start in next half hour won't start at all
  16. Can't win, if had called it off would've had the "Its dry now could definitely have been on" brigade on
  17. It's as simple as this, it wasn't making money therefore wasn't viable to continue. Those smart folk with all the answers go tell the facenna's today and volunteer your services
  18. Not the best planning. Plenty hotels in Hamilton/ Motherwell for those heading south be at more reasonable prices I expect
  19. Anyone in the area give an update? Where I am been raining more or less all morning with the odd spell of sun. Loads heavy clouds around too. Does seem localised though
  20. 13 points away from home but cooks the issue ? Yeah he's not the dominant best rider in the league he once was but still scoring to his average which I believe is what was asked of him at start of season. Ulle is most definitely the biggest issue, riding on Willie Lawson level machinery it looks like. Broc scoring 1 from reserve totally unacceptable, getting beat by Connor Coles of all people. Connor probably a weak link at 2 just now away from home as well. Several
  21. Weather not looking good in Glasgow this weekend. Have to be some serious doubts this will be on tomorrow
  22. Can any scunny guys explain why it's such a specialist track? Doesn't look particularly unique in size or shape but every time I've watched or been the home guys are so far ahead. Also have guys like auty, aarnio, Lambert etc that only seem to perform there. Can understand it with Berwick, Edinburgh, Plymouth but Scunthorpe's a real head scratcher to me
  23. P#ss poor. Looking like in the battle for 4/5/6 instead of top 2. Scunny fully deserved, score probably flatters us
