  1. Why on earth was that rerun other than Kelvin said it should be? Didn't matter in the end but baffling why wasn't awarded
  2. http://scunthorpe-speedway.com/?p=16852 2nd n 3rd paras confirm was signed to NDL side so was eligible to guest for champ side.
  3. I was under impression had an agreement with scunny would ride for them but I could be wrong. Never thought he be so much in demand!
  4. Looking forward to this, disappointed vuolas will be missing but excited to see the other new guys and with cookie and Claus should be fireworks guaranteed. Could all come down to who we can get in at reserve as to whether can get the win
  5. Scunny riding on a Friday I would say is the problem, if don't sign him he'd be at Redcar for them hence unavailable to us
  6. Given our issues at reserve and lack of availability of guests on Fridays are we at stage should sign smudge on a 28 day deal? Scunny only signed him to NDL side so we'd get priority
  7. Id be more tempted to use r/r at Glasgow if vuolas was nominated as the senior rider on 5. Claus will get a ride and he flies round ashfield and I doubt Tate take long to get to grips with the place. Those 2 rides alone would score more than Dan T based on previous visits to ashfield imo. Taking a gamble his upturn in form translated to tracks not been great at before. However if not the senior the guest makes more sense
  8. So looks like in pre season predictions scunny been overrated and worky underrated. If their reserves can contribute 10/11 every meeting then they really could be in for a season. Well played to Celina, hope she kicks on now. Simon Lambert a big scalp at this level
  9. Wow didn't see that coming from smudge. Match winner and no mistake. Just a thought would gilkes and smith fit if worst case scenario needs to replace our reserves? Best wishes to ace hope not broken wrist as updates suggest. Strange decisions I thought from Oxford TM, hard to judge as wasn't there but not giving a 16 yo a ride for 6 heats when track would be very different seemed odd..as did replacing Killeen and not Atkins after the former had led bomber for 2.5 laps. How did Leon look? I know times mean little but heat win nearly 3 seconds slower than boughen the heat before seems drastic
  10. Tough one to call this. Masters and Nichols should get about 25 between them as only see bomber troubling them (and wouldn't say he's even hit 2023 form yet). 2, 3 & 4 on current form we should have the upper hand do could come down to who comes out on top with the reserves. 49-41 would be my call. Unfortunately missing tonight hopefully an entertaining safe meeting
  11. Id like to see young Harrison, ridden worky and scunny so ashfield shouldn't be any issue. Did he ride at one of the youth events? I say smith only as he's been the go to over the last few years but I'd hope maybe moved on
  12. By my calcs guest options are Perry, Harrison and Smith? Hagon out under 8 say rule, Plymouth riders averages too high and everyone else already involved. Not great and assume will be smith
  13. Yeah not entirely sure what the issue is. He's ridden 6 heats at ashfield so far so obviously still finding the set up, same as JP. He was clever in front and never really looked like getting passed despite not pulling away. I'm not sure I like him at number 4, could leave us exposed in heat 14 but that's an argument for another day
  14. Jose losing his touch? Few dubious decisions thankfully this evening. Borke not fit enough to do 7 rides? Seems strange only got 5. Would we have won with full team... would've been tight no doubt. Entertaining meeting though, best bandits team seen in a long time
  15. Why oh why did we not keep Claus. Be struggling if he wasn't here tonight
  16. https://x.com/glasgowtigers/status/1781350117196374414 Awck that's far less exciting
  17. I would think claus had a lot more bonus points being paired with Ben most of the season whereas Leon was the stronger rider in his pairing and wouldn't have been able to accrue as many. It's all puzzling to us tiggers fans too but I hope Leon comes good by seasons end
  18. Think saw an interview with cami the logic was 6 Brits with 2.5% reductions meant the side was built nearer 40 than 38. But I'm with everyone else Claus would've got my vote in that position, and each riders early season form only drives home that opinion
  19. I can just about see the logic if put danyon at 5 given his previous connections but etheridge is dreadful around ashfield. A shambolic guest appearance at number 1 for us against the enemy a few years back still stings. Only Leigh lanham a few years before stunk the place up worse than that effort!
  20. For me Oxford have got Atkins who overachieved anyone's expectations and imo isn't 2nd string ready, heeps is what heeps is but concerning if can't score well at home and Jenkins was expected to make the jump to HL but he seems to be having an horrific start to the season in both leagues. Once Jenkins comes good will do ok but will struggle for play offs IMO.
  21. Does the 8 day rule not apply for reserves or has it been binned altogether now? Or does last Friday not count as abandoned?
  22. I'd say Edinburgh fancy chances of bonus against Berwick so if he stops us getting bonus puts Edinburgh in pole position possibly?
  23. Like I've seen you say before. Just show up to be entertained by the strongest possible sides and not look too far beyond it. I would rather see sedgy than r/r or a sub standard guest personally
  24. It is but there's 4 sides in action (I think), Brennan I'd assume 1st choice doesn't want to do more Fridays than he needs to with Poland, leaves you Barker, Claus and batch maybe? We've taken claus and I'd not touch batch personally. Sedgy obviously far cheaper being Scottish based too
