I'll take a stab you're meaning Santa Claus?

Re the money situation. I know my club is accused and probably guilty of paying more than most and have a 2016 KO cup to show for it. It's no like football where we can go and buy 7 no.1s. we have to fit 7 guys under the same points limit as every other club, and who is considered a snip is all matter of opinion and some (most?) don't work out that way. The way some go on its as if successful businessmen are not welcome in British speedway
-
Absolutely. Still a huge favourite in Glasgow and not just down to his old man. Even seen him passing this season!
-
Richard won the KO Cup with Glasgow in 2016

Why bring it up in first place then? At least have the courage of your convictions

You started the discussion

Jubilee championship league

No thanks. I've still not got over the semi final!! Still wake up in middle of the night in cold sweats -
Why can't same team win both? Suggested similar last year as that's what happens in super league. Get a league winners shield, followed by the play offs culminating in the grand final. If same team wins both so be it

Jubilee championship league

So the 2023 teams will compete to win a competition qualified for by the 2022 teams that will most likely bare no resemblance in personnel? And I thought I was lost for words yesterday. No wonder we gave up on it -
I mean where do you even start with this? Last season I could accept running into November as was a late start but what's the excuse this year? July and August when the weather was great was hardly a meeting and here we are in November with the biggest meeting of the championship season being run at a prem track. Not having a go at Leicester but what an absolute joke British speedway is. I've lost interest big time this season to point questioning if I'll be attending next year. Given I haven't missed a season since 1997 it's horrible to be feeling this way but will take some big changes in the winter to get me back
-
I think it was extended with kids race etc as new people felt 20quid for 15 minutes entertainment wasn't good value. Tried to make it more of a day out than just 15 heats of speedway. Now, you and I I'm sure very happy to live without it all but I'm sure a lot of homework would've been done on this and Glasgow does have a far younger crowd than most tracks I've been to

I don't have any figures just a guess based on what it looked like in the days said we were getting about 500. It's busier than that. Stand must hold 4/500 maybe? The shed on 4the bend usually pretty busy too
-
There's way more than 375 people on a regular basis. I'd probably say as a rough figure we've been averaging 7/800 this season at least. 1000 is the figure I remember banded about but think that was in the pairman era I'd imagine bit more now
-
That's what Jan means, Richie verbally agreed to return to Edinburgh for 2022 but didn't
-
Correct but it's only championship supporters that are suffering.. nothing else being reduced as far as I know? Keep hearing this gap is too big, last few years had bewley, Brennan, flint, kemp, Palin, Edwards, Jenkins, the Thompson's, bailey all make jump from NL and hold their own and most on 5+ averages. Imo there's now an issue with the your program. Few years ago the youth champ were about 50 riders, this season was there even 10? I can't think of 5 riders are ready to move up from NL from last season. The issue is they're either not ready or not good enough. The solution is make them better not weaken the leagues
-
Incorrect. We want it to be same level as it's traditionally been. Not watered down because the prems been watered down. They should fix their issues not weaken out league
-
Probably be a gamble but he's entertaining and if basso needs replacing think close to like for like I can think of. Put bums on seats
-
Yup totally agree but seems a certainty this year it's coming down to 40 at least. The failings of the prem mean the champ has to suffer
-
Hope there is some blue and gold to ride for
-
I'd actually prefer blodorn. Just an alternative if he can't due to continental commitments lol
-
Just working of proviso you'll need to lose at least one of top 3. But aye as an asset you'd imagine still be at Poole. But we can hope
-
Since this is most chat on Glasgow 2022 thought I'd give this a start. I've worked off a 39 point limit based as middle of the rumoured limit changes and think looks a decent side. 1. Blodorn/Lawson 2. Vissing/ Starkey 3. Kye Thomson 4. Danyon 5. Tom 6. Connor 7. Sam hagon If 40 could potentially have vissing and Starkey over Connor? I know couple of "false averaged" guys in there!! But surely Starkey and vissing are better than 5 averages in a lower quality league? I'd also love basso back I just don't see it happening unfortunately

I had a response from Ben duffil on here so there are people involved with BSN on this forum
