  1. Don't believe you can start a season with an injured rider. Would need to be a temp replacement
  2. If Newman won't be fit for start of season would young Connor be an option? I know ablitt beat him in play off final but it's kind of place he could flourish
  3. There's one thing with KK he'll either be brilliant or dreadful, never seems to be anywhere in the middle!!
  4. I'll take a stab Mr vissing is being saved for Christmas week (Santa Claus n all that). The debated 7th rider as a Christmas present in the form of young Tate or the krampus if it's complin? Lol
  5. It's all banter until someone takes offence ha.
  6. You deserve batch after all your Harris chat
  7. I think Richard just likes to concentrate on himself. Could be wrong but don't recollect him captaining any team. Spud was the captain when Richard was at Glasgow, think kerr was during their time at Eastbourne and don't think he was at Redcar or Workington either (happy to be corrected)
  8. Seem to remember they ran a meeting as Birmingham past present and future that included Pickering and I think Brennan. They thought might get both and obviously with Edinburgh reprieve and never thought Tom was ever going anywhere they've got neither
  9. With this 40 point limit seems to be getting a lot of 2 pointers thrown in at the deep end to sink or swim. Good luck to them but for my money most could do with at least another season at NDL level
  10. I'm sure he'll probably do better than the 7.10 he achieved in his last full season at champ level but anything over 8 will probably be successful. Absolutely agree about Harris, won't have the home advantage he had at Berwick. I assume the theory is Ben will be more the home no.1 and Harris will be better away. Hope it comes off as seems a gamble in my eyes
  11. Yeah I agree, but my struggle with Berwick is TJ on an average 1.5-2 points above what it should be so in my head your team is built lower. That and will the rooboy come back the same rider as was at Poole? I know you could maybe say they same for Edinburgh that lasse and hooks true averages would bring them down as well. But imo they'll at least achieve those averages this season whereas almost impossible for TJ to hit his.
  12. Don't think it's a bad side. If cookie gets back to being 9.5 plus rider and hook and lasse can kick on after a season of learning then could be challengers (by that I mean to win it don't need the standard "they only need to finish 6th of 9" response). Of what's been announced/ assumed I'd say better than Berwick, Oxford and scunny and about on par with Redcar and Glasgow.
  13. Mitch was very very unlucky with injuries, every time he seemed to get a run of form got another very nasty injury. Think Edinburgh fans might say the same. But you're right when they arrived wasn't much between them at all. Mitch started in main body and josh at reserve so take from that what you will lol
  14. Ringwood had a bit about him. Couldn't tell you what his average was but imo was the best of that bunch. If he'd came back for 2nd season think would've kicked on
  15. Take him over complin personally lol.
  16. Amazing how an Edinburgh fan keeps going on about considering Wolbert
  17. I'm not saying they would. Lisa asked question of she'd missed something I merely said it was discussed few weeks back. Don't need to get your knickers in a twist
  18. Honestly Lisa I'll gladly apologise if this works out to be a masterstroke. I just find it a very surprising signing given the history. does sound like might have been basso related reading between lines too. Let's wait and see I guess
  19. Think the fact did full press release both parties know would be a section of fans a bit apprehensive about this signing. Saying all the right thing but as they say, talk is cheap
  20. Ach I know it's taken the shine off the team for me and let's face it it's an addiction with us die hards. I went every week through the crap of the early 2000s and 2014 so I'll be there. I just hope history doesn't repeat itself and he can redeem himself in the eyes of the Glasgow faithful
  21. Toys are officially out the pram. I'm no going lol
  22. Never been good at ashfield until this year either
  23. While I agree with you to an extent, this team looks set up for ashfield so I'd predict a few 55-60 home wins tbh However, even those around ashfield are dam exciting. Berwick in the league immediately springs to mind, brilliant racing that night
