  1. Doesn't mean there's no advantage though. We had the highest home average total in the championship last season. And the team imo looks set up for the same this season as basso, nowak, vissing will be far better at home than away. Just because we have a good racetrack doesn't make it less of a home advantage. Otherwise how did belle Vue ever win the prem?
  2. Hopefully with cookie being held in high esteem by both sets of fans can quel some of the daftness been going on last few years. Haven't been to armadale for 5 years for that very reason. I'm all for banter but just gone too far. Used to go every week and support whoever the opposition was and have a laugh on the back straight, all turned after the takeover imo when we were no longer the poor neighbours getting skelpt every time.
  3. Yeah plus at least 2 quid for a seat. Saying that paid nearly 70quid to watch my fitba team get beat 7-1 this year so in comparison lol. Didn't under 16s used to be free or has it always been under 12s?
  4. So a seated season ticket is averaging out at over 20quid a meeting. Almost scared to see what going to be charging per meeting
  5. How I'd quantify it is that Sam in particular has been a 9 plus man for 10 or more years in the champ, Dougie had a great season but if wants to usurp masters he'll need to do it consistently
  6. I'm struggling to separate about 5/6 sides. Plymouth, Edinburgh, Scunthorpe, Poole, Redcar, Glasgow all look well matched strong in differing areas. Berwick and Oxford I just think 2 pointers at reserve will get you in the end, seen many Glasgow sides built that way did nothing. Birmingham unfortunately look weak again
  7. Mulford rode at ashfield for Kent behind closed doors. Was bang on the pace on a heavy track remember being impressed and bit surprised he's not come on more in the 2 years since. I've read more interested in the grass/ long track than speedway but given has place in both (three?) Leagues must be sign of commitment
  8. Yup that's my concern, will take a very good manager to sort the riding order out. I thought about putting the Danes at 3 and 4, but vissing more a gater could find himself in Ben's road. Basso and complin could be a disaster, so could Harris and nowak!! Certainly don't envisage much team riding going on
  9. Law of averages n that must be our year
  10. Come on don't do a gating tart on us... You're better than that
  11. Looks a pretty good side my Harris and complin reservations apart and should be entertaining to watch. Looks better set up for away matches than this years side too. Redcar look team to beat so far but doesn't look too far behind them
  12. 2 years out of Britain and riding at no.1 last year. I'd like to think he'll finish somewhere around 6.5/7 range riding at 3/4 at ashfield. Don't see any other 5 pointers with that potential. I'm aware other clubs have had issues with him but can only call what he was like in his last Glasgow spell
  13. Santa Claus coming to town at 3pm?
  14. If Starkey gets back to 6-7 pointer he's been for most his champ career could be a very good season for the glads. Definitely won't drop many home points and should be in hunt for a lot of bonus points too
  15. Well it's at least not a step down. I like Nick a lot but I don't see him maintaining a 10 point average.
  16. Absolutely agree about the limit. Yes but by that time I'd imagine all the top riders would already have deals in place elsewhere. Ruml, Nicol, kemp just off top of my head better than any of the possible options seen fit the 4.22. manzares was crap last time he was here would need massive improvement since he went away to be worthwhile imo
  17. I think Birmingham's issue stems from missing out on josh P. Meant had to go for Nick who takes an extra point n halfish. If you had 5.5 for last rider would definitely look far stronger
  18. Does Connor bailey fit for remaining space? Just thinking back to U21 final he rode well seems some dispute as what Brum have left. My shawdy maths has him at 4.32 with deduction
  19. It's part of it but rider availability on Sundays makes it very hard. Finding it impossible to make changes through the season. And that goes back to dick and Dickson era I believe. How many riders did Rob grant (allegedly) speak to to make changes at Newcastle? Wouldn't have 4 of this year's team if raced on Sundays as an example
  20. Couldn't get riders for a Sunday is why needed to change. Ideally wouldn't be same night but Sundays weren't working for that reason imo
  21. I got one part right he was born in Auckland lol
  22. Isn't Ricky wells part New Zealander? If so and he ever took part in championship I'd guess he'd win it. If not I've no idea where that information came from
