Championship Pairs Oxford 16th August 2024
Jaizer replied to Triple.H.'s topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Given Oxford's one of bombers home tracks, Anders surely won't need to score too heavily in order to get us in top 4? Didn't we get to semis with basso and hume few years ago and Ben was unbeaten? Then you just never know. -
Given we had Adam Roynon a few years ago riding for Plymouth despite being a Scunthorpe rider would be a bit rich to refuse a member of a 1-7 to compete... However this is the bspl so who knows
-
No I mean he'll get his 2023 champ average. Sure that's what happened with gilkes on next set of averages with Redcar. He's also not a guest now as declared in 1-7
-
Maybe the cynic in me but Rowe will come in converted prem average. Gets new average bases on previous champ results which was around 6 if memory served. Points saved on next season's team building?
-
So should've been called back as unsatisfactory start and both riders warned. Which it wasn't. As others have said who knows who would or wouldn't have won with the perceived correct decisions made but there were certainly some dubious calls that the losing team will always call out (see rob Godfrey after Glasgow)

From your 2 posts I assume you've not heard of the butterfly effect? I'll assume no seen as you're assumptions that each result would've followed the previous one or that it will follow the result you've decided it will be. Heat 15 for example what motivation did Edwards and bomber have? Just been shafted can't win the meeting and bonus was secure. Given they'd the better of barker and Thompson all night you'd think with motivation a 1-5 would not have been the result. Anyway I'm sure you'll have some smart ass I know better than you response lined up but I've made my point
-
Do you think ivacic was a cheap deal? If weren't assed would've let it slide. Granted it's made us worse but would be a big outlay to bring him over get visa etc
-
Genuinely can't understand this tactic of only giving Pearson 1 ride in first 7 heats then have him in virtually every heat thereafter. Fine at home but away tracks going to change from heat 2 to heat 8. Imo should've been in heat 4 and Scott taken Smith's 3rd or 4th ride.

Wouldn't argue with that
-
Yes I've seen the figures, my shock was that Paco had achieved it. Haven't seen much of Edinburgh this season right enough but fair play to him. Always pegged him as a 5/6 pointer
-
Colour me surprised so he has. Where did paco get a 7 point average from lol.
-
I'd suggest paco but I'm guessing he might be in same meeting?
-
I'm guessing Rowe will be in for Steve as he's at Edinburgh on Friday? Unfortunately Workington are at Berwick rules out a few options. Boughen and heeps as the middle order possibly?

Think I've I'd paid good money for the pairs last year to watch bachelor's antics I might have joined that club too! -
Forecast changed since this morning tbf, but did think was an eager call off at the time
-
Bit of weather about tomorrow (typical after best week of the year!). Fingers crossed misses ashfield, plenty exciting riders on show. Guest or sedgy?
-
Yeah fair enough, like you say just on the eye he looks better
-
While his home form has improved, leon was never going to do big things this season at a track been so poor at in the past
