Looks another sunny day tomorrow although not as warm as was last few days, hopefully help with track prep. On track be disappointed not to hit 55, nick and sedgy apart pretty poor ashfield records all round. Even they aren't consistently good (see sedgy on Tuesday).

Very good looking side but would take a lot to get Wright out of Redcar I'd have thought. Might have had more chance getting Richie W on similar average as he was available with Leicester movin up. Certainly bailey or hume at reserve all season would've given a far more potent tail end

Personally the man he replaced. I understand reasons both moved on. Also as you'll read I never criticised Harris quite the opposite. The fact is Berwick is his favourite track and hit 13-15 every week. He won't do that at ashfield hence it's approx 0.5 that he'll lose. Just a simple fact

What was always the problem is Harris on an inflated average from Berwick and Ben on an average I doubt he'll maintain. Harris has been very good and much better than I thought but he's always going to lose half a point at least not having a strong home track like he had last season. Could argue claus on a 5 negated that but doesn't take away from not having the out and out number 1 we really need

Redcar are a bit of a perfect storm for us in that have riders ride ashfield well, 2 former riders out to prove points and even mulford nothing to fear as rides bit like BV. Ben missing no doubt dented confidence but was very meek performance

I seen it before someone said he reminded them of the other Lee we used to have to suffer and last few weeks and I'd have to agree. I'd honestly rather see a sam hagon or Ashton boughen (when he's 16) whose going to improve than watch a formerly class rider struggle to turn the bike
