  1. P*SS poor from captain in a big meeting again. Maybe focus on who you're captain and asset of!!
  2. Bomber was passed, Jenkins slowed as Rory was on his line then he turned into bombers back wheel. The camera from the home straight is most revealing. It's one of those racing incidents no-one did anything wrong but someon had to go
  3. Bomber passed Jenkins, Jenkins clipped bomber straightened up, clipped Rory who the straightened up. For my money Jenkins excluded but wouldn't be shocked to see Harris. 2nd viewing bomber also clipped Rory as he came down
  4. Dear god that looks awful.. should air fence collapse like that? Fingers crossed for all riders
  5. Is it groundhog Day or am I just stuck in the twilight zone?
  6. Firstly as mentioned tom was ill, followed by his shoulder meeting the track hard hindering his riding and writing off his first bike (not that his first ride was any better mind). Secondly given how Tom and bomber performed that night I'd guess the track was set up differently while they may have been set up for it being the same. Should be no excuses for the league match, if you're capable of legitimately passing Emil he should be capable of more than 4 points at WR... Or anywhere for that matter
  7. Correct. Given reason Glasgow and Poole are in this league is because of the fixed race nights (amongst other things) would be very dangerous to impose them
  8. Leon's never been very good at ashfield, was alluded to by Greg Blair I noticed when watched meeting back last night. But losing to Gilkes and hagon who, to my recollection, had never seen the place was pretty poor. Hopefully it's just a stagnation year and he kicks on again, bit like tom Brennan had last year
  9. Absolutely was good to a see a hoard. Miss the days of the northern tours, Newport used to bring coach loads. Thing of the past from what I can see It was as much a comment that fans don't seem to follow their riders like used to. In the past if stoney had ridden in Antarctica they'd be 200 Workington fans to watch him.
  10. Thought the attendance was pretty dismal today. Just down to the weather this week and forecast rain, it being on bsn or a general apathy towards that type of event? Didn't see much in way of away support, noisy Plymouth contingent apart.
  11. Whatever the ins and outs of it I think most Glasgow fans would tell you Connor needed a season away to improve, was in his comfort zone I'd say. He also improves when he's busy, having only one team last season was a problem. With 3 teams and improving can see the difference in him the 3 times he's been back this season. I doubt he'd have won that last season. Gladly have him back in the stripes
  12. What. A. Race. Well done all 4 riders. Superb
  13. You've got a bigger hard on for Glasgow than most Edinburgh fans
  14. And just had 2 cracking races after it. The tracks a road, worst it's been all season but had to be given the weather we've had and the forecast. Still had 5/6 very good races. In future watch the racing or maybe get it on Bsn first, embarrassing yourself again
  15. More passing on first 2 laps of u21 final than Poole fans have seen all season...
  16. Is there possibility running Monday night? Only decent forecast I can find for next 2 weeks up here. Guess might not be allowed to run against EL?
  17. Play offs, cup finals. Not trophies but beats getting knocked out in first rounds and battling for the wooden spoon every year!
  18. While we all now think we should be winning something with the teams we've had, try to remember after 2014 we were nearly gone altogether..and pre 2014, 2011 apart wasn't much to shout about round ashfield. It's night and day in terms of success and entertainment
  19. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/in-your-area/lanarkshire/lanarkshire-speedway-exhibition-welcomes-star-30456752?utm_source=mynewsassistant.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=embedded_search_item_mobile This could've been better advertised, had no idea it was on!! Good to see some people have interest in putting these things on though
  20. Shane Parker was best I'd ever seen at it, way he sheparded round guys like cockle, ksiezak, etc who were far slower was a piece of genius. Of course most of the time cockle fell off at the last bend anyway but least he tried lol
  21. Given forecast up here for Sunday be dubious that'll go ahead tbh. Most have rain in them up to about 5
  22. Roynons no been a 7 pointer for over a decade lol
  23. Was very good, Formed excellent and exciting spearhead for us with Shane in the early 00s. Memory fails if happened in days with us or after he left but was a consistent 8.5/ 9 point man in the premier league as was
  24. He never paid the fine thus his ban had never started. I believe to this day if he wanted to return would pay fine and have to wait 2 years
