Glasgow (28) vs (62) PIRATES BSN Final 2nd leg 21st July
Jaizer replied to lbw's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Fully expect Poole's bottom 3 who couldn't beat sleep round ashfield last season to be transformed and both teams to be in their 40s. What way round I wouldn't like to guess, will depend on middle order who comes out on top at 2, 3 & 4 imo -

With how Ben cook rides the slick and being such a tiny guy, nothing of him, I fear he may be top pirate tonight. Inside line is always available round ashfield if our boys head for the fence as usual be big gaps for him -

Everyone's point is there is no-one to replace complin!!! He would be a 5, complin is a 4, we can only do like for like swaps as we've told you countless times. If you want to replace nowak absolutely fine but you're continual gripe is complin and he wouldn't fit!!! Also maybe since your rant is at Poole stick it in the Poole Glasgow thread -

Just water down their fuel and give them some used tyres and we'll maybe get to 55 lol -
6 months ago absolutely not. But what a difference good machinery makes!! My only concern is that average is going to approaching 10 which is complicated for team building. He's been fantastic on track and well and truly shut me up
-
He got it because cook didn't want it and was no other candidate at the time. But agree, Harris should obviously be the captain in this side
-
Bellego is showing as a 4 in prem averages. Is that accurate or that he can't go below it? Is Jo's converted average his genuine average or would it be on a 6?

If you can source the 4 point reserve going to score 6/7 points home and away you're a better man than me. As like for like as all we can do

Hate to agree with you but hard not to. Not good enough from 3,4 & 6 by a long way. Been to Poole, Redcar and now Oxford and pumped every time -

Chance missed, too many passengers again. Certain other team would never have lost that tonight. Well done Oxford, decent meeting except for the dust -

I think probably case, he's a better rider, despite having disappeared in big meetings!! Added a point to average and certainly done more passing at Glasgow this season than before. Definitely needs to get the elbows out more -

P*SS poor from captain in a big meeting again. Maybe focus on who you're captain and asset of!! -

Bomber was passed, Jenkins slowed as Rory was on his line then he turned into bombers back wheel. The camera from the home straight is most revealing. It's one of those racing incidents no-one did anything wrong but someon had to go -

Bomber passed Jenkins, Jenkins clipped bomber straightened up, clipped Rory who the straightened up. For my money Jenkins excluded but wouldn't be shocked to see Harris. 2nd viewing bomber also clipped Rory as he came down -

Firstly as mentioned tom was ill, followed by his shoulder meeting the track hard hindering his riding and writing off his first bike (not that his first ride was any better mind). Secondly given how Tom and bomber performed that night I'd guess the track was set up differently while they may have been set up for it being the same. Should be no excuses for the league match, if you're capable of legitimately passing Emil he should be capable of more than 4 points at WR... Or anywhere for that matter -
Correct. Given reason Glasgow and Poole are in this league is because of the fixed race nights (amongst other things) would be very dangerous to impose them

Leon's never been very good at ashfield, was alluded to by Greg Blair I noticed when watched meeting back last night. But losing to Gilkes and hagon who, to my recollection, had never seen the place was pretty poor. Hopefully it's just a stagnation year and he kicks on again, bit like tom Brennan had last year

53-37.... At best -
Absolutely was good to a see a hoard. Miss the days of the northern tours, Newport used to bring coach loads. Thing of the past from what I can see It was as much a comment that fans don't seem to follow their riders like used to. In the past if stoney had ridden in Antarctica they'd be 200 Workington fans to watch him.

Thought the attendance was pretty dismal today. Just down to the weather this week and forecast rain, it being on bsn or a general apathy towards that type of event? Didn't see much in way of away support, noisy Plymouth contingent apart.

Whatever the ins and outs of it I think most Glasgow fans would tell you Connor needed a season away to improve, was in his comfort zone I'd say. He also improves when he's busy, having only one team last season was a problem. With 3 teams and improving can see the difference in him the 3 times he's been back this season. I doubt he'd have won that last season. Gladly have him back in the stripes
