  1. Braver man than me! After Sunday be a long time until I'm back!
  2. Really hope haven't taken this for granted tonight. Redcar still a very good side need to be on top form to win
  3. Correct yes. I really hope weren't strong armed into accepting by same people agreed to this extension. Maybe been bit naive. I certainly don't see many other promotions accepting the date in the circumstances
  4. I'm not saying the meeting should go ahead with weakened Oxford side. What I'm saying is it's a double standard for Redcar to have to ride missing 4 riders at time was agreed but Oxford refusing on the basis of missing 2 (3 of Jenkins still out). Both sides should've been given the chance to field their strongest possible sides. After all this is supposed to be the pinnacle of the season, what they've all ridden for all year long.
  5. Tend to agree. Seems very harsh on Redcar had to run with a severely weakened team but Oxford were allowed to refuse a date for the same reason. I'd much prefer the meeting for both teams to have full sides, but I'm sure Redcar feel the same way. Both should've been allowed a date when could field full strength sides imo
  6. The only people that it would appear that way to is the illiterate since its there in black and white
  7. Glasgow offered a date, Oxford refused. You then want to try and say it's due to Glasgow it's been extended. Clearly not
  8. The link to it is on previous pages of this thread as I'm sure you'll be aware. Know what you're saying was how dare we question the integrity of someone who questioned that of our promotion. Yes, the meeting was already off why would he fly in to fly back for no reason? Unless underwater speedway is your thing there's no fuel and no fire
  9. Watching what little saw of the wolves match last night looked to me wolves made a mistake not letting Rory guest in the play offs. More bike time might've been bit sharper. Especially since was coming back from an injury
  10. Didn't Scott's twitter post question the integrity of the Glasgow promotion? Just asking
  11. Back of a fag packet same as all speedway rules I'd have thought
  12. Tweet or whatever it's called now went out at 8, assume decision made before that so I'd assume told him not to bother. On a side note bit stalkerish folk checking flight manifests nowadays looking for their conspiracy theory
  13. Good catch. Missed that one. I really don't know then, it's very unsatisfactory ending to the season
  14. Would Scott and Sam be back? Forecast no great for Sunday. Friday is best option to get chance of getting it in. However, Oxford should be allowed proper guests from say Edinburgh or scunny who probably be out by then. Not ideal but a better option than bowtell or equivalent for marsters
  15. Correct..neither are satisfying endings to either teams season. But thank the powers that be for extending every deadline all season but this one (as far as we know).
  16. Presumably Friday or Saturday and like Redcar had to, Oxford will need to like it or lump it
  17. Case in point..since my last post left Glasgow in perfect sunshine got train home and caught in a heavy shower with skies looking like rain be on all night..met office now saying 80% rain at 6 and thunderstorm at 7. Might just be right decision
  18. Don't really see what gain from continuing to bring it up either tbh. Every forecast I looked at this morning had rain after 5 which has moved back slightly through the day. Most of which still saying showers between 7 & 10. If were standing in stands and started hammering down we'd all be whinging not called off early.
  19. Yup need a canoe to navigate York Street far as I can see from my window. everyone knows it's already been called off right?
  20. It does raise another issue though. If Glasgow provide a date and Oxford refuse it, how can Glasgow still be penalised for not completing before the cut off. Fyi currently raining on argyle Street
  21. Given Oxford made Redcar run with 3/4 guests plus r/r be bit rich to refuse on those grounds
  22. Given we've ridden against Oxford and Redcar in last few weeks why not just retrospectively apply those results as the play off matches. At least then using actual results rather than arbitrarily deciding the results based on the weather!!
