  1. Case in point..since my last post left Glasgow in perfect sunshine got train home and caught in a heavy shower with skies looking like rain be on all night..met office now saying 80% rain at 6 and thunderstorm at 7. Might just be right decision
  2. Don't really see what gain from continuing to bring it up either tbh. Every forecast I looked at this morning had rain after 5 which has moved back slightly through the day. Most of which still saying showers between 7 & 10. If were standing in stands and started hammering down we'd all be whinging not called off early.
  3. Yup need a canoe to navigate York Street far as I can see from my window. everyone knows it's already been called off right?
  4. It does raise another issue though. If Glasgow provide a date and Oxford refuse it, how can Glasgow still be penalised for not completing before the cut off. Fyi currently raining on argyle Street
  5. Given Oxford made Redcar run with 3/4 guests plus r/r be bit rich to refuse on those grounds
  6. Given we've ridden against Oxford and Redcar in last few weeks why not just retrospectively apply those results as the play off matches. At least then using actual results rather than arbitrarily deciding the results based on the weather!!
  7. Don't really agree, with Kerr taking presumably heat 8 and our reserves being weak point should easily match the 5 points Jenkins scored imo
  8. Forecast improved a wee bit for tomorrow. Been dry today hopefully track can take whatever rain comes tomorrow afternoon as met office has it dry after 7. Who can take Jenkins rides? Kerr, heeps and reserves? No sure weakens Oxford much.
  9. Sedgy has already guested for Edinburgh at scunny so back to drawing board for you. For that matter howarth has also already guested for Redcar Vs Oxford
  10. In one way it's pretty funny. It couldn't be any more Glaswegian. Knocked out by an angry woman called senga
  11. I know I know, it makes the best sense but do the "protected days" apply still for prem. I don't know the answer to that
  12. Will the champ be allowed to run on Thursday? Isn't Edwards Sheffield's riding star now so Redcar would need a guest.
  13. Who knows. As usual bspl dug a hole without thinking of every eventuality. I know I get it we don't want to be going into November and the ko cup has still to get run. But it's just mental.
  14. So had quick look on couple weather apps I see little chance of speedway in Glasgow Tuesday or Redcar on Wednesday. Which match then becomes priority? As Redcar now eliminated do bspl just try and get Glasgow Vs Oxford on the rest of the week until there's a break in the weather? And if happen to get Redcar match in so be it?
  15. Don't know why had it in my head it was Friday. Hopeful can get it completed then
  16. They seemed to prioritise the bsn trophy this season early on. A lot of league matches got kicked down the road for that. I sort of see why because seems daft having a final for a trophy qualified for in spring in October. But if the outcome is a highly unsatisfying ending like teams qualifying/ knocked out of the one competition that matters because of the weather then I think it was a mistake
  17. Only days this week look half possible weatherwise are Thursday and Friday. One of which we're no allowed to run and other we're at Redcar.
  18. Claus would've got more than 5 today, but if we get 5/6 at Redcar then no he probably wouldn't. Tbh evens itself out imo
  19. Am I right in saying if we can't get Oxford meeting done by Saturday we'll be eliminated by the weather? This week's weather forecast not exactly promising
  20. Matter of angle I assume then. Connors looked very fast on all his visits this season, taken a big step forward this season. Being busy was always the key to him and having 3 leagues plus Poland U24 he's definitely busy!
  21. Pretty straightforward, uneventful meeting really. Good result top 4 all on good form. Not the greatest meeting in the world but seen far worse. King and bailey apart thought Redcar were poor. From my viewpoint bit perplexed by Smith getting excluded, looked like Harrison took him off.
  22. Lucky if it's an hour between ashfield and armadale. Finished for half 4ish got loads of time
  23. Since looks like set fare for tomorrow weather wise save to start a thread! Sedgy for wright and smudge jnr for ace changes we know of. I see Redcar running howarth at 4 and riss at 5 tonight, wonder if be same with sedgy. Unfortunately Wrights injury I think makes this less of a contest fancy 51-39
