  1. Brilliant getting cruz in the video. Happy with that team, what you'd gain at reserve you'd lose in top 5. I'm sure professor Harris will be holding several classes over the season with the particularly the reserves. End of the day if they can score 4 points a meeting between them that should be enough! 2 years ago if never have had howarth but has been very good last few visits so sure will provide the back up to bomber.
  2. Never looked the same to me after a pretty big crash at ashfield couple years ago.
  3. Run an NJL side and have built a training track on the infield. So who knows if can get enough local talent might well do in future
  4. He's spent 2 years under shroek... Sure he'll be fine
  5. How do you explain his improvement with Birmingham then 🤔.
  6. Surely Campbell's... I'll get my coat
  7. Was just scanning through Oxfords site.... Schroek won manager of the year? That has to be a wind up? Cami must be a certainty next year 🤣
  8. I watched bewley for a season at Glasgow, probably at same stage boughen is now, and if told me he'd be a GP rider I'd have called you liar. There wasn't a bit fanfare about Dan, he had audition for a place at Edinburghs press and practice I seem to recall. Can only comment on boughen I saw easily beat bomber by about a straight at ashfield at end of season and that'll do for me on a 5
  9. Didn't you know Peter facenna phones John Campbell every time he does a deal with a rider and asks him to tell Blobby? Thought was a well known protocol
  10. The term heat leader, correct me if I'm wrong, suggests you leading heats 🤣
  11. Good bit of business getting Victor on a 5 imo
  12. 5.79 away average winning 8 heats all season. Sorry but not really HL standard for me. Yes he'll score plenty round EWR but my point was away from home will be weak.
  13. If Thomsen puts 4 points on his average this season I'll maybe agree with you
  14. Come the seasons end I reckon will be foord with the higher average. But we'll see
  15. Aww blobbys first "Glasgow's flashing the cash" post of the winter. It's a red letter say 🤣
  16. 4.4 average is above average 🤔. Not doubting that part, but don't come out with bs like numbers when it's simply their preference was an expensive Dane over a young British rider.
  17. Correct chosen to fly in an average Dane in his 30s than use a young British rider.
  18. Maybe he's seen sense and decided to move to the bright lights of possilpark, a lovely part of the world 🙄. It does seem like one HL 3 2nd strings and 3 reserves, particularly away from home. But as mentioned scunny track specialists so win most/ all home meetings and the odd bonus point
  19. Always hoped he would sign for us, Shane is the main reason I fell in love with speedway as a kid and for those who don't know is my profile picture. Hope turns out to be a successful close to his old man
  20. I can't see why have gone for Max Perry personally, didn't show anything last season that was champ ready albeit coming back from a terrible injury. I'm never a fan of 2 2 pointers at reserve as a good reserve can turn a meeting. but 4 out of top 5 imo are capable of improving their averages and should be capable of winning meetings on their own. Definitely more positive than last season if this is the side with 3 of the top British talents should be entertaining to watch at least.
  21. And of course Berwick have never done the same to a Glasgow rider in the past have they... Cough David bellego cough cough lol. It's the way of the sport, we happen to be in position where riders want to come, but we spent many years before being the opposite end with riders being nabbed it taken if showed any promise
  22. Aye that's true wasn't great those meetings, seen many riders signed on the back of one good meeting and be a disaster.
  23. He scored more in 1 meeting guesting at Glasgow than in most of the league season for Berwick, maybe the track suits his style better. He doesn't look the sharpest gater and passing easier at ashfield than shielfield. Can't go on about loyalty here when advertising riders getting dumped on the Poole and Plymouth threads.
  24. With so few teams and riders these days there's no point holding grudges as they'll probably end up riding for your club at some time! I wasn't happy at bomber coming back to Glasgow, Poole fans were unhappy about schlein and Lawson (and probs kerr when it's announced) but they've all turned out well.
