  1. You've just contradicted your own point. "Soccer" play offs in football league are for clubs 3rd to 6th!! You know what the team that win the league are called.... Champions!!!
  2. Don't disagree with you. How the team finishing 6th can potentially call themselves champions is a lot of nonsense. By all means have post season play offs for say young shield or craven trophy or whatever they want but top of the league are champions. Rugby league would be the example to follow on this front
  3. The only stickler is the grand monarch himself James McGregor
  4. Probably wrong but don't they need to have been top 4 of a state or national final for Aussies?
  5. We used to, or borrowed Berwick's I remember at some point but to my knowledge not been used this season
  6. Friday best forecast. Thursday might depend how much water gets into the track between now and Wednesday night. Won't be much dirt on either track either
  7. Please lol. Broc makes good starts, sarj just went 1,2,3 drop the clutch ha
  8. Common occurrence with broc. Refs seem to have had some sort of warning and since mid season any time makes a good start gets pulled back. Believe guesting at Kent same thing happened
  9. Pickering I believe was using an engine he knew wouldn't work but was all he had. He won't be so bad again.
  10. You've got to be joking? After that last night can't see us beating sleep
  11. Big riders showed up when it matters. Didn't see rooboy doing that well. Poole Edinburgh should be a good final
  12. I never trust BBC weather since stopped using met office. Hope it changes but with rain been around of late tracks won't take much to be soaked through I return to the madness of trying to hold play offs and cup finals in October
  13. God's honest truth I don't see speedway in Scotland Tuesday, Thursday or Friday looking at the forecast for the week
  14. Of course that's the case, can only work with what you have. Peter Carr late 90s take some beating in terms of what could do on the track.
  15. Won them before when Shane was in the team. Listen it's probably down to preference I've never enjoyed lakeside, Ipswich, Wolverhampton either. I just don't find that kind of racing as entertaining as Somerset, Redcar, Scunthorpe, Glasgow, BV. I know for a fact they were looking away from armadale as a friend of my dad's offered Campbell land to build their own track a few years ago but think start up was too expensive. I would never say should be banned as need all tracks we can get, it just comes down to preference for me, I don't find it entertaining
  16. Comparing ashfield to Newcastle is comparing apples to oranges. Size isn't everything, it's the space and ability to go fast out and attack different lines. Newcastle is a one line track due to narrow bends, same with armadale, and oddly same with Berwick due to again tight bends. Shape is far more important than size hence Redcar us far more entertaining than armadale
  17. I'd say the issue with armadale is same as with Newcastle and will probably come to Plymouth as well, in that the modern engined aren't made for tracks of that size and the racing has suffered. I used to go most weeks in late 90s 00s and racing was decent when had stoney, PC, Micky Powell, Sean Wilson, greavesy etc but got worse and I stopped going as wasn't worth it anymore. It's the same as why tracks are now much slicker than they were for the same reason. Speedway's moved on and tracks like armadale and Newcastle have suffered most for it IMO
  18. Scores 7 last Edinburgh meeting by beating Lawson all night. He scored 12 (not a max was excluded in heat 15) cause knew was getting the sack. If had ridden like that all year wouldn't have been replaced.
  19. He wants to be the riders pals how it always struck me. Was always same as the pickup driver
