  1. Forecast improved for Thursday. Think that's most likely to be Glasgow leg
  2. Would Poole have agreed to biggest meeting of the season without basso? Don't think so. Weather wise was best day but get why didn't with Marcin unavailable
  3. Cook got 5 from 7 rides, Thomas got 9 from 5 last appearances. Jack being a former tiger as well far better choice of guest IMO, and that's as tigers fan!!! Utter rubbish from Steve again given neilsen always been poor at ashfield and managed a solitary point failing to beat an opponent on his last visit!!
  4. Absolutely only reason in this mess is that extension that changed absolutely nothing because is Birmingham not running then changing fixtures last minute
  5. How's that chip on your shoulder? Stick some vinegar on it might make it less bitter
  6. I think all you cause there is a bidding war for the riders towards upper end of said average limits. Do nothing to reduce costs IMO
  7. Can't help thinking should've just held 1st leg today looking at the sun out my window n just had heeps at reserve for Marcin. Don't see any breaks in the weather after today for it to be held
  8. Suppose depends how many teams in top league. Of the rising stars in championship not there now that might hold their own Thompson twins, Jenkins, bickley, Thomas bowtel, bailey is getting there. Might be enough to keep it competitive. I'd say if do have 2 in top league should have 2 protected reserve races
  9. Thought on the "rising star" situation. Why not just create a list of riders considered to be rising stars (Josh bates need not apply) and say that every team has to consist of at least 2 of them but based on their CMA and new riders come in on a 2.00 from NL? Means for example Berwick can keep flint and bickley, Leicester the Thompson twins, Edinburgh kemp and Edwards, Glasgow Bailey and Brennan but without drastically weakening the league. And will allow same riders more spots in the top league, if there is one
  10. I dunno what Workington fans gripe is with Glasgow fans these days. I always got on with them up until the takeover then atmosphere seemed to change. Shame
  11. Yeah I know. I'd say the "karlsson corridor" hadn't looked as grippy in last few years there. Makes sense he's not doing it anymore
  12. Knew his stuff Doc, one of best in business. Except when graded Edinburgh gates at ashfield before a last heat decider
  13. Think ulle has unfortunately ridden himself into an average in both leagues might find it hard to find a team place next season. Highly unlikely polish authorities will allow Marcin over for a full season. Believe was only given permission as his clubs season was over
  14. Have to say surprised last few days, thought monarchs just hitting form at the right time. Strange the top 4 that been strong point all season that's cost them last 3 fixtures
  15. Get with the program. Happened in championship for years. Complaints fall on deaf ears at the powers that be so get used to it
  16. Based on current forecast I see no speedway at ashfield this Tuesday. Then again don't see any this week at all.
  17. You realise riders don't live at the track right? Glasgow I expect only Connor stays in Glasgow, Edinburgh I don't know if any of them will. Maybe the Aussies.
  18. Like you've said it's a football atmosphere creeping in, don't like it at all. Stopped going to Ibrox as much for that very reason. Banters fine but some of the vitriol getting spouted just no need for
  19. Fierce rivalry or not no need for anything I've heard from both sides last few weeks. I'm all for celebrating but sore losers and sore winners ruining the whole atmosphere. Getting to stage not going to be away fans going which is what neither club wants. End of the day as the northern outposts of British speedway we need each other and everybody needs to realise that.
