Won't be HL at Glasgow though. Unless Leon has an absolute disaster which we hope doesn't happen
-
Ok now show us the posts that said he'd be a HL after his decent showing in the Aussie first round.

SGB Championship 2024 Confirmed Signings
Jaizer replied to bloom89's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Was going to say the same. Probably never seen anything like armadale, seen far more experienced riders struggle around there! -
Who said that? That's absolute nonsense Lisa, was pointed out he had a decent meeting. But it's a bad day when beating a prem number 1 and getting slated for it. Based on his experience 4 points is about his level, especially as had to work for his when bowes and west were gifted most of theirs by retirements!
-
Good point..think we made a conscious decision to have British based riders.
-
Makes sense all round, couldn't ride the dump from what I saw but was very impressive at both shielfield and ashfield (shocked he wasn't considered at Glasgow over starke tbh). Solid side should be in play off contention. Only concern would be is Kerr a genuine number 1? Average is based on riding predominantly at 3 for Oxford I'd fancy other sides to have the better of heats 13 & 15 against you but may be evened out in 12 & 14
-
Yeah think he could be. 3rd year time to kick on, would preferred him at reserve then again I wouldn't be shocked if both reserves and 2nd strings swapped places after 1st set of averages
-
Decent start from Pearson in Aussie championship 7 points. Same as masters and outscored rew, the cook brothers, Tate and bowes junior
-
100%. Realistically be looking at 40 minimum after first set of averages then you'd need to lose 2 points if wanted to make 2 changes and get it back to 38. Be difficult for anyone doesn't get it right/ gets injuries to resolve it this year
-
It's his rolling average, like stormy it's probably messed up because his Newcastle scores been removed but that's what it was on bspl website all winter..where Edinburgh invented the sub 3 average from is anyone's guess
-
Finding it very hard to predict this year. I agree Edinburgh and Plymouth look the weakest and Redcar strongest..Oxford I'd disagree with as don't look to have a 3rd HL and 2nd strings could be weak too. Glasgow I have no idea, worrall and bomber should be scoring 25 between them most meetings keeps them in the match but a lot will rely on flint becoming a genuine HL.and one of the reserves having a great season. I'll stab at: Redcar Poole Scunthorpe Oxford Glasgow Berwick Workington Edinburgh Plymouth
-
What was alternative really for worky? Sedgy I wouldn't have as a no.2, riss allegedly giving UK a miss, Richie banned. Can't think of anyone else around that average is/ was available. Will no doubt be inconsistent but guess say that about every Workington sighing, what makes them so intriguing going into the season
-
No matter your opinion on it I think Workington will be the away side most fans will be looking forward to see. Some in hope to see Celina fail and say I told you so, others in hope she succeeds. Throw in Tate, the Finn and cookie it's the team I won't be missing when visit ashfield this season. Fair play to the promotion, will have more than the speedway world talking about this signing can only be good for the sport
-
Perhaps difference will be Stewart won't accept sub standard performances and let's the riders know about it when not up to standard. Might get him out the comfort zone he's clearly been in last few years? Pretty strong top 5 considering the reduced limit imo
-
Been caught out few times recently I've noticed. Let's face it r/r with cook taking a ride will make them stronger, might be the plan all along
-
Was a swap actually. No selling involved
-
Can't see anything other than like for like changes next season. After first set of a averages given built to 38 should all go up towards 40 if not higher, dropping 2 riders to get down 38 again be bit pointless. I guess you might hope to get this Dane up to a 5 then can skud him out for a 5 point Dane/ Aussie
-
Quite a coup if the rumoured potential is true Interesting reading the legend Mick Powell involved in his development too
-
Dam shouldn't have doubted myself!
-
Don't know why but I'd convinced myself kaj laukkanen rode for Edinburgh at one stage but I'm wrong. Some reason got image of him in a monarchs race jacket. Must've been Scottish open or guest appearance
-
Think you're in a minority if 1 on that front
-
Whatever keeps him off bsn I'm all for! Lol
-
He's signed for Berwick (allegedly)
