  1. My question would be are Phillips, Woolley or Lawson ever going to ride champ again? 3 guys who are in late 20s/ 30s n never gone beyond that level. Obviously need these guys in the league but 3 in a team is hardly developing riders for the team IMO. Plus when greaves retired none of aforementioned were given a job instead brought Edwards up from the south coast. No doubt improvement in Millars in particular was huge over the season but I thought we were past not signing him cause he rides for Glasgow now?
  2. Stronger than start of last season imo. Brennan step up from wells, Hume got more improvement than sedgeman and basso at worst on a level with Sam, although on Danish form would be better. Need to get Connor more meetings, NL or premiership to keep him active and should improve a fair bit too. Don't think it's a rye house with woofy on a 3, or king's Lynn with batch at reserve level of team, but should be there or thereabouts
  3. Yeah if Berwick could get Jorgensen to change his mind I'd fancy you big time to win the league, if have to settle for a Gap or similar signing then maybe play offs at best. Happy with the Glasgow side but wouldn't say it's strongest team I've ever seen and as always be down to luck and injuries
  4. Remember palovaara's Glasgow racesuit obviously wasn't washed professionally, second half of the season was announced as the pink panther
  5. I'm not sure but I thought top 4 in state U21 final qualified nowadays. But as said earlier I wouldn't swear on it
  6. I think what might be a slight issue that had served you well in the past is that riders can't go below their assessed averaged as I understand. Where in past could've replaced Paco for example come may with a 7 pointer at same time as new guys picking up. But like you say it's exciting to see new guys and lasse was fast enough at ashfield albeit on borrowed machinery
  7. Brown and Pearson and maybe even Gilmore on scores look better prospects but they might be fixed up in Poland as Bowes and rew were in 2021 and hook was one willing to come? Hard to tell level given sedgeman won Victoria title pre Christmas but give the lad a chance before writing him off
  8. Sarj usually starts season well so will allow hook to find his feet. Team you'd imagine get better as season goes and depend how quickly adapt to the track which I assume be alien to both initially
  9. Yeah you need kye or Paco to become genuine heat leaders. Am I right thinking Fredrickson comes in on 5 so sarj start at reserve? Tbh I'm same as you, I like to see new riders progressing in the sport. Lasse was very much on pace at the gp qualifier, might need to work on his gating. Know nothing about the Aussie but excited to see him
  10. U21 counted I thought. Might be wrong though
  11. 4 if no professional league experience I'm sure. Finishing 2nd in state title should get him required visa as well I think
  12. Very rarely Edinburgh don't put together a challenging side, expect nothing else for 2022. Interested to see how solved the 3rd heat leader issue or gone strength and depth with strong top 2
  13. I can assure you no Glasgow fans would have choses wells over ulle!! Let's face it after a month if he's not performing he'll be replaced not wait until it's too late as you say. Wells had 2/3 good meetings all season, one at Edinburgh. His other 2 visits I think he scored about 6 combined so aye hes magic at they tracks .
  14. Basso has basically same average as Sam after 8 matches that took Sam nearly 2 seasons to achieve. Ulle's average is 1.5 higher than wells would be my starting point and nowak away from home was a liability!!! Very simple. What's 42 to do with out. Glasgows team was built to 42 for 2020 and only changed because Connor wasn't coming over. Most sides were the same and Poole actually strengthened swapping McDonald for Hume!!
  15. What's an exaggeration? It's free on YouTube go on and watch his races!!!
  16. Should do yeah, I know I do. This was in November so I doubt the mulled wine. Craig was very ill and really shouldn't have been at armadale but were no suitable guests available. After result was confirmed he sensibly took it easy. He's had a number of issues in 2021 which I believe are resolved so expect a different Craig Cook 2022. Also confused how the top scoring rider in the play off final under performed? Mid table? Give me a break lol. It's better side than 2021 that finished 2nd!! Not saying it's title winning but be top 4 minimum. Brennan, basso, bailey have average improvement in them. Hume, Nicol and cook should minimum maintain average and ulle may lose a point at start of season. I'll take your view on the team along the lines of opinions are like arseholes, everybody has one.
  17. Not goret surely. Watched him at the GP qualifier was 3 bike lengths behind everyone by the 1st turn. Was 3/4 of a lap behind by the end of races
  18. Some fan you are was your number 1 who hit the tapes. Tell you what why don't you take Stevie out your team for Jason crump since on your mind that's "like for like". A certain well known Poole fan on here called him a heat leader on a 5.00 average. Much as I disagree with him I'll take that over your views
  19. So you missed his 16 point haul at armadale in the play offs did you? Beating Craig Cook easily in heat 1 at ashfield on first ever ride? Aye the guys murder you're better rid of him. And 5.88 is nearly 2 points more than kelleher, so in no way are the "like for like"
  20. His average is 5.00 cause it's still assessed . Is this your first day as a speedway fan?
  21. To quote Ron Burgundy... That escalated quickly
  22. Kelleher and basso like for like . Aye sure mate. I'm not saying they were rubbish we are talking about pre season predictions, i.e. what people thought of the team at the time and that was the view. Go back through and find the prediction thread and you will see that is what the majority view was and Poole on paper were not considered the favourites
  23. Merry Christmas mate. Hope family all well
