  1. Tbf it's his first proper spell out of the reserve berth as only got couple matches last season I believe. Much harder to score points which might be affecting confidence in the prem. He wouldn't be first rider who needs that second spell at reserve before they kick on again.
  2. First time I can recall the monarchs in team suits. Pains me to say it but look pretty smart. Still odd seeing the sarj in one though
  3. Magic. Still score more than BWD probably though
  4. "Mourinho" trying to pull a fast one with his riding order lol. I like having your number 2 in averages at 4, might slightly weaken heat 13 but gives you strong 14 and 15
  5. The 3 established Aussies and the sarj should all be strong at home and likely only need a few points from the new riders to get the win. But if the Ricky Wells from last season's play off shows up could be a good night for the bandits...can only hope
  6. Not at the level it is now no, that's what I'm saying if was anyway decent then maybe they would as seemed popular before
  7. Bit over eagerness from home boys early on?
  8. You've got your views I've got mine. We've discussed them fairly and with respect how it should be
  9. As I've said earlier, Birmingham and Newcastle imo should be in it. Eastbourne and Workington next season. IOW should have been busting a gut to get back in. That gives you 7, add 1 or 2 reserve sides then you have a proper league
  10. Going to have to agree to disagree on this one I'm afraid. In any sport going from amateur to professional has to be a big jump, and if you can't make it then NDL is your level. The NDL as was 4 years ago was it's best level. Revert back to that would be my suggestion
  11. Then you'll just have same complaints there are now between prem and champ
  12. See above. Return it to competitive league with stand alone teams not reserve sides from prem and champ. Allow them to use British riders with champ averages under 4 or 5 with no age limit, allow some experienced guys in like used to with Armstrong, Atkin etc. Not a blueprint but it's a start
  13. Exactly, should really have Newcastle maybe Birmingham in NL this year. Eastbourne and Workington next you'd have great base to work from there
  14. Also good to see mentioned on the BBC sport website https://www.bbc.com/sport/speedway/61078406
  15. Best of luck to everyone for a successful relaunch. With no home advantage as a brand new track, despite Scunthorpe's away issues could be pretty close. I'll go 49-41
  16. Whilst not a fan of the "replica shirt" (last I looked saltire was on a blue background) the basic shirts n hoodies not too bad. As a rangers fan believe me in last couple years I've seen far worse merch lol
  17. That's because so many were rushed into the CL last season by the RS system. But the gap between the Thompson's, Palin etc and the next potential group is huge. The plan should be close that gap by improving NL not watering down the championship
  18. I'm not necessarily meaning world stars there were certainly plenty kids came through at 2nd string/ good reserve level. That Peterborough side for example had Howe, Allen, stead. Lee Richardson and Scott Nichols were breaking through
  19. I keep seeing that argument but to my mind the 2nd tier isn't as strong as for example the late 90s and riders came through aplenty in those days. Shouldn't it be the talented riders that can make a go of it? 70s before my time tbh
  20. All of whom proved last season not up to championship level. Throw in jpb into that as well
  21. Glasgow is a fair racetrack now, quite similar to NSS in its shape and preparation. Starkey and stormy should have their moments, complin might find track more to his liking than any others he's ridden so far. Might be trying to put lipstick on a pig but have to be hopeful
  22. Yeah Dickson and dick won the 2012 title. Which actually did more damage than any of the weak seasons before due to what had to layout in wages every week. See Workington as another to fall that way. I know where you're coming from but bringing in limits like that imo won't change anything. Dear god, Martin mckinna was barely a reserve
  23. Newcastle at ashfield last season was very entertaining actually, hence hope Barker guesting for diamonds. It doesn't matter what you do you'll always have weak teams. Believe me Glasgow were that weak team often despite one of the best no.1s the division has ever seen in Lawson and Parker!!!
  24. Yes, but the top 10 already have championship clubs. The point made was that the RS scheme should've been expanded. My point is that those below Bickley, Edwards and Atkins would've been the ones coming up and they are nowhere near ready
