  1. Thats fair enough then, hadnt read the match report last night
  2. Speaking of which josef franc been doing ok in there too
  3. He has was having a spin in the french league too so is upfor a bit of travel
  4. Im not even a brum fan but thats criminal from LR if it was just a matter of showing loyalty to a brum rider rather than using howarth in ht 15. Vissing would have been a more understandable shout. Shanes and morris not beating heeps in 14 the killer there
  5. Monarchs fans is that a cycle speedway track on the inside of the race track at Armadale?
  6. Youd go for him over proctor if they were your two options during team building
  7. Unless he's next in line for us at belle vue when Jye or Jake get the push
  8. Seen a tweet from justin sedgmen this morning. Hes back in the uk and looking for a team place. Certainly worth a look on a 5.55 average?
  9. Nathan Stoneman would be a good shout for a replacement for Congreve (if it gets that far) On the point of visas does anyone know what visa type a speedway rider comes over on? I was heavily involved in a amateur ricket club and we used to have a first class (professional by definition) cricketer come each year. They came over on a tier 5 visa, though i think this may have been replaced by the international sportsman visa? Anyway a stipulation if that visa being granted is that the player had to be earning at least £200 per week to be deemed an overseas professional. Maybe thats a similar ruling for speedway riders too. So Congreve possibly on that as a minimum regardless of points scored? He might also be over on youth mobility visa which allows guys from Australia and New Zeaand the chance of a 5 year visa to visit the uk but in that capacity i dont believe they are officially allowed to earn any money. In the case of cricket clubs any fees for a cricketer playing on that visa type are cash in hand
  10. Couldnt believe my eyes watching ht2 when congreves bike conked out. Looked like he had no mechanic on stand by, not one team mate legged it down to help, no management. Dont know if thats due to the ramp at glasgow? Looks like he has one bike. I feel he must have been a part of the bwd deal otherwise jack smith or ben morley wouod be better shouts. More experience and better machinery for starters. Anyway drawn a line under away matches newcastle. At home is where you need to do your best work. Clegg, starke and wethers can all beat opposing heat leaders. Wright possibpy complin are mixing it with the 2nd string and reserves. Time to magic up anither number 1 if bwd is not staying around. How about brady kurtz at 1?
  11. Surely ben morley and jack smith are waiting in the wings for Congreve's race jacket now
  12. Sorry late to post here hope i can still get involved. 1 J Thompson 8.52 2 S McGurk 5.25 3 N Ablitt 6.29 4 H Atkins 5.86 5 L Crang 6.41 6 S Woolley 3.00 7 J Alcock 4.36 Total - 39.69
  13. To give it a positive spin it can be classed as a challenge match where the home riders are out against good visiting opposition to get dialled in to the track with no pressure of league points on there back!
  14. Very early days and as you say new mach8nery. Couple that with him riding just a handful of meets at the start of last year and the covid season he is going to be very rusty. As long as the riders get dialled in at perry barr you cant ask for more
  15. Shanes has a very peculiar style on a bike. He seems to me to always be leaning backwards towards his left shoulder. He certainly is a trier though
  16. Paul bowen asking rogers and morris if any team chages were likely to happen, after the first meeting was very poor imo. Enjoyed Allens input and Hayley is great
  17. Obviously first league match so some bedding in to be done for the Brummies. Mainly vissing hardly rode at all last year and auty. Auty needs to sort his gearing out to give him a chance off the start gate. Most tracks are pretty slick so hes no hope in passing anyone. Another thing i didnt seem do any gardening once, too busy looking down at his engine away from tapes. Hopefully brum get dialled in at home and perry barr is a happy hunting ground. That would be great for fans and really bump up rider confidence
  18. Folks a question... Can you watch the live stream on demand whilst the meeting is still going on? I probably wont be able to watch the stream until 8pm so im wondering if i can watch it back from the start whilst the live action is still on going or will i have to wait until the live action is finished to watch from the start
  19. Is that weather ellis or vissing turn up or auty has some machinery to attend!!
  20. Can anyone comment on how auty and vissing looked? Was auty on the pace? I know hes not quickest off the gate and a slick track might have had his number
  21. Not sure what the ruling is regarding guests in the league cup but seems odd to bring in ben morley as a guest for ellis, surely theres someone available who's average is closer to ellis'
  22. Stevie finished the season very well last year, if he can kick off in that vein of form this time around he will put 1.5 on his average. Cant see that sort of improvement from jye so stevie or richie a must better option for the sake of .7 of a point on the average available for the next rider
