We kept ringing the police to ask if they had found it but they kept saying no.. I had to go past Gorton police station and my dad's car was parked outside. This match reminds me of a Coventry v belle vue match in 1983. Coventry won 55 - 23 and we were told by Stuart bamforth before the match that belle vue would be trying to reduce their averages. Three weeks later in the league Cup final they drew 39 - 39. Friends of ours who followed by all over the country never went again after this.

I think the big difference this year is not having the Worralls in the team. Both are reasonable riders but if they missed the gate at the nss they would never pass anybody. This year they have 7 riders who can all ride the track and overtake.

First meeting I went to was belle vue v Wimbledon 5th April 1958 I was 3 . My dad took me who saw his first meeting at belle vue in 1931 . He watched belle vue until he died in 2015.

Where were the panthers fans last night ? I was in the South stand and there were only about 10 panthers fans , and before anybody says it's a long way to Manchester I live 260 miles from the nss.
