The points system is fine..it’s actually much better than somebody winning the meeting, stood on top of the podium and actually losing ground on a rival….that was very hard to explain to a non fan.

Tickets cover both nights..I think they are incredible value to be fair …got 2 now and was expecting to pay a lot more so chuffed with the price covering both nights to be fair..

I stumbled on this topic when looking for which riders use which tuners these days and non the wiser really…I’m a bit out of touch these days so certainly a lot of different tuners out there to when my brother in law rode and did his own engines in our garage, and a lot of tuners from back then no longer exist or are not in vogue . so can anybody tell me the tuners that current riders are using these days in general ?

Blimey..I’ve been watching speedway since the 70’s and I’d say GP speedway is currently better than any speedway I’ve seen, and Zmarzlik is just the most amazing talent with the most incredible balance and style.

Does anybody know how to get a refund on tonight’s tickets as I cannot make Thursday…I cannot see any info on Belle Vue website and I have rang them and get an automated message saying tonight’s meeting off and to refer to the website !

Ok..so I cannot make the new date on Thursday so I assume I would be entitled to a refund. ?

How soon do they make a call ….I have tickets and I can quite easily see me getting there and then them calling it off just before the start when in reality it had little chance of actually going ahead

Exactly , and Belle Vue v Wolves is an ideal TV match…I’ll be there but if I wasn’t I would look forward to that one on TV

Well I have been to my first live meetings this year since 1993 after watching the Belle Vue v Sheffield match on TV and my son asking to go…..we went to Belle Vue …I didn’t think 20 quid was extortionate in the current sporting scene..tickets were bought online and sent to my phone within a second and scanned at the gate…really easy and convenient….no masks needed to be worn whilst watching the racing and I was impressed with the whole show….a COVID sellout and a good atmosphere …got tickets for the Belle Vue v Wolves match now and looking forward to it… been a fan from 1978 and then a follower of my brother in law racing upto 1993 so seen speedway from all angles but not been to a live meeting since 1993 but I have been impressed this year from what I’ve seen and hopefully after July 19 things can get better at all tracks as it definitely seems different local authorities are interpreting the rules for crowds in different ways

The match I attended at Belle Vue against Peterborough definitely had both teams on the truck on a parade lap after the draw.

I cannot see the point of the Rising Star if they are not number 7…they need to be in heat 8 and unable to be replaced…as it stands a reserve like Ostergaard will always get heat 8 and the rising star will continue to struggle and earn no money which isn’t really helping anybody

We will..If we don’t come out then when every bugger is vaccinated then we may as well spend the rest of our lives under these restrictions…the virus is something we will have to live normally alongside like every other virus out there….speedway crowds will be normal from 19 July I’m pretty sure. Any news of when the Belle Vue v Woves tickets for 12 July will be on sale as I want to book some. ?

I think under the circumstances with 6 teams in the league it's not a bad option to cancel the next 2 and stage them after the 19 July when I'm totally certain restrictions will have been lifted... Its a shame as I have just started going again after over 25 years away !.... I thought there was actually a good crowd for the Peterborough match I went to which was sold out so if they can get all them plus the extra allowed then it looks quite rosy for Belle Vue at least... I hope all other clubs can ride out the storm until 19 July.

Just to mention, I have just watched the current Sam Ermolenko interview and I have to say it was really good, possibly the best one so far and well recommended.

I used to like the Old National League and it certainly had some good riders in it…Joe and Tom Owen were almost invincible for a while and Tom was happy to stay at that level as he had business commitments and was earning really good money at speedway as well..fair play to that… we followed Belle Vue but used to visit Ellesmere Port a bit and John Jackson, Steve Finch and Louis Carr were almost invincible as a heat leader trio round there. I was always surprised that some really big scorers in the National League back then seemed to struggle in British League outings whilst some took it in their stride and did ok.

I went to Belle Vue v Peterborough and you wore a mask entering the stadium and going to the bar and food van but you never had to wear it sat in your seat…seats were pretty booked and distanced anyway with ticks showing the sold seats. So no issue there.

I booked for this right after the last televised match via the Belle Vue site and got the e tickets within seconds...looking forward to this...not been to a live meeting since my brother in law stopped riding nearly 30 years ago !!......I have been a TV watcher since and now my 16 year old really fancied going after we watched the Sheffield match on TV so we are going.....weather is glorious and will be tomorrow...I just hope all riders make it there to ride...Shows sold out on the Belle Vue site now , albeit limited capacity so that’s good.

Same..just read on kindle..I thought it was pretty dull..basically just running out a lot of stats ..I feel anybody could have written it really with a load of Speedway Stars at hand...there was nothing in it that wasn’t known...ok but nothing special

I think these are good.. I've enjoyed most of them a lot.. The recent Jeremy Doncaster and Chris Louis one was very good... The only one I wasn't too keen on was Gary Havelock's really..... Lee says he's got Marvyn Cox lined up so that should be good.

A bit late on this but I couldn't believe how quickly the book arrived It's well worth a read..I found the longtrack part the best bit as it went into quite a bit of detail on something you don't hear too much about in England. I would recommend it
