This is not just a birmingham problem . Go to any track or watch on TV and you will see rows of white faces. I understand not completely white but you are right. In our multi cultural society, does speedway do enough to attract non white people?

If that's all you've got to worry about, you must be in a very happy place in life.

To recap what nigel tolley has said, there are several key factors that have to be met. 1. Stadium rent. None negotiable. Thats the figure, pay it or sod off. 2. a deal with the masons to buy the club must be close or ready to be signed just waiting for the right moment. 3. getting enough sponsors to cover the costs of the possible shortfall from the 1000 spectators break even figure. 4. being excepted by the bspl. Sounds easy when it's written down but, I'm sure it's not.

I do wish some would stop getting hung up on this 1000 break even figure. For every match sponsor, every air bag sponsor , every new share holder etc etc that figure becomes lower and more realistic. 1000 would be nice & but if you aim low, you may get there or aim high and achieve your best.

That is a bridge that will have to be crossed when or if it comes. It may be a bridge to far?

Agree with All of the above and will add that betting on line is cheaper for the stadium owners than having people in the stadium.

Arc only want a dog track with a high wall around it. TV betting will pay for everything else and no need to use the stadium for anything else.

Getting fed up in the crowd after standing for an hour was unavoidable after the heat 1 crash. I have to admit it didn't seem like an hour for me but, I was keeping myself busy.
