  1. Couldn't agree more. Very boring most of the time. OK live with the atmosphere but always quite drawn out on TV with a lot of follow the leader races. Give me British League racing any day of the week. Not as glam but usually a lot more interesting and at the end of the day, I personally prefer team speedway.
  2. I saw it as a tongue in cheek comment. How about Zmarzlik being handicapped and starting every GP on minus 5 points. That should make it a tad more interesting or even starting a quarter of a lap behind everyone in every race including the semis and final??
  3. Hi BB. Saw BV last night against the Witches and they were rampant. Also watched KL last week v Sheffield on BSN and several of their riders went missing. To be honest, can't see anything but a BV win but I really hope KL do eventually get their act together. Alex Brady has gone out on a limb with the Laguta signing and deserves some success so good luck to him and the team.
  4. Agreed, really enjoyed that. Belle Vue really up for it and lots of good close racing. Great race between Brady and Emil and also enjoyed watching Keynan Rew. Like his style of riding and defo one to watch for the future.
  5. Lots of people on here having a go at Alex and the KL management but no way could anyone have predicted last night's result. If Laguta had raced to a maximum and inspired the rest of the team to victory his signing would have been considered a masterstroke and everyone (bar the Sheffield fans) would have gone home happy. Very fine margins and I don't think anyone can knock Alex for making the changes he has. He was let down by certain team members not performing which it is sometimes hard to legislate for. At least Alex hasn't stood still and should be congratulated for bringing Laguta over to the UK. The team, however, still needs some changes/freshening up.
  6. Nice one Bagpuss. Always enjoy reading your posts and you always say it as it is. Appreciate that. For the sake of the league and the run in to the play offs, here's hoping things improve at KL.
  7. Couldn't agree more re Brady. Trying his best and things might turn around at some point. Good luck to him!
  8. Good luck Alex. Hope the signing is a massive success and puts KL back into contention for the play offs. Hope KL fans respond with huge numbers getting down to the stadium.
  9. Must be a bit disheartening for riders like Ryan Douglas piling up the points and then seeing three team members scoring zilch.
  10. What a silly and sad post, that's all I can say. I was just making a point, no need to get personal.
  11. The incident between Smarzlik and Doyle reminded me of an almost identical coming together in last year's Premier League Final between Brady Kurtz and Tobiasz Musielak. Kurtz fell off on the outside but it was Musielak who was excluded. I personally think Smarzlik should have gone.
  12. What's really worrying is that if Kings Lynn and Peterborough merged, taking all the best riders with them, they'd still be crap!
  13. As others have mentioned previously, the club/sponsor must have offered NP very good money to ride for Peterborough. What has now happened to this investment which must run into thousands of pounds? Can it not be used to sign a top rider which the management claim to be too expensive? All seems a bit strange.
  14. Watched the live stream, very impressed with Dan Gilkes style on the bike. Really hope he goes a long way.
  15. I don't think you can refer to Max as a "bang average rider." He's way better than that and you know it.
  16. I thought Plymouth streamed their own meetings but looks like they're not doing this one? Is this correct?
  17. Not looking good for BV tonight. Could they get Robert Lambert in at reserve? Heard they've side stepped the solicitor and gone for a barrister!
  18. A change needs to be made now before the rot really sets in. No point thinking give him two or three more meetings because it just won't happen! I would also be very concerned re Thomas Jorgensen, when I've watched him before he may have one heat win but the rest of his rides are absolute stinkers. Not sure what's going on there?
  19. Kings Lynn should have played their joker tonight, KK. Not going to get any better, change needed pronto!
  20. I'm not keen on guests but I'm not keen on six man teams either. Give me seven versus seven any day of the week. This situation has only happened in the last 24 hours and if I was the Wolves manager, I would definitely go for a guest if a suitable one could be found.
  21. I know it's unavoidable due to the unreliable British weather, but people on this forum seem to spend as much time talking about weather forecasts as they do Speedway. Would it not be a good idea for British Speedway to only start running in April? Yes, I know April weather wise can still be unpredictable but I'm sure there would be a better chance of getting matches on than mid to late March. Just heard that the Ipswich versus Peterborough fixture has been called off so that's already three this season with no wheel turned as yet. If the match goes ahead at Sheffield tonight, I'm going for a Sheffield win but I think the score will be closer than Phil's forecast.
