  1. Couldn't agree more re Robert Lambert. Not sure when he last rode at Wolverhampton but must be so used to riding the big flat out tracks in Poland etc. Turns up at Wolves and sized the track out after one race and then there was no stopping him. Pure class and great to watch as well.
  2. Yes, and as I mentioned in a previous post, the vast majority of injuries have come on foreign soil. Only Woffy's injury has come on home soil and even that was a GP round and not a Premier/Championship League meeting. Faster tracks abroad with more pressure = greater risk of injury?
  3. Slightly off topic and not really making any major point here but all the injuries which have severely affected the play offs have not happened during either Premier or Championship League matches. Woofy, of course, was injured in the UK but this was whilst he was on GP duty but the remainder (as far as I can remember) have all been abroad in either the GP's/World Team Cup or the Polish leagues. Probably a lot more pressure riding in the Polish Leagues, more money of course but also more risky. Big fast tracks and higher speeds.
  4. Sorry it's been called off lbw but will give you time for an extra flat white. Enjoy!
  5. Really enjoyed the meeting despite the scoreline but obviously so much hanging on the bonus point. Commiserations to Leicester but I think most neutrals, including me, would rather see Ipswich in the playoffs with the likes of JD and Emil etc. Definitely some mouth watering semis coming up!
  6. I see that BSN are covering the Peterborough v Sheffield match on Monday where essentially there is nothing at stake. Would they not be better covering the KL v Ipswich meeting or even better the Wolves v Leicester meeting where there are two better balanced teams and a great deal riding on the outcome?
  7. Agree entirely. Apart from the GP's, never really been a fan of individual events. All about league racing for me and always will be. Just wish we could go back to the halcyon days of say Halifax riding at Cradley with all the rivalry and large crowds etc. Needs to be more a sense of belonging to a team for both riders and supporters and as MikeBV regularly points out, greater financial rewards for winning the league and a proper trophy to go with it.
  8. Any 'Save Speedway" banners there Iain?
  9. What are you referring to, the half time prize draw?
  10. Oh, and I nearly forgot ..... Troy Batchelor?
  11. Bought the stream but I can't really think why?? Very drawn out meeting and why would anyone want to sign Stefan Neilsen and Paul Starke??
  12. What is up with you iainb? Obviously an ardent follower of speedway and you not only post on here regularly but seem to get to around to lots of speedway venues ...... but lots of negativity! Come on, let's have a touch more positivity. It's not all bad you know.
  13. Really enjoyed watching Ipswich ride this year so they've sort of become my adopted team. Just wish this was on TV tonight because it will be close and a lot at stake of course for the Witches. Their recent form has re-ignited interest in the play off positions and I hope they keep it going. Come on you Witches!
  14. Who exactly are you Hawk127? You talk absolute drivel.
  15. Hope so. As a neutral I want the race to get into the playoffs to go right down to the wire. Would really love to see Ipswich do it with more opportunities to see Emil and Doyley!
  16. Which forecast is that Phil? I only have the BBC app on my phone (which is unreliable at best) and could do with another one.
  17. I'm at a slight loss as to why both Jaimon Lidsey and Chris Holder have been picked in preference to Brady Kurtz. Do they both have better form on the continent? Also have to consider Holder's recent injury. Personally, I think I would have gone with Kurtz, riding well this year and would probably have upped his game even more so for the SWC.
  18. Yes, same here. Hope they fix it pronto. Trying different connections and players but all to no avail.
  19. BSN running out of riders to interview. Maybe try the tea lady next.
  20. Watched the stream. Really good meeting with some close racing. Probably one of the best I've seen this year. Hope Drew Kemp is OK. Hoping to get over to Scunny this year if the racing is this good!
  21. Well said, team sport for me all day long. Always has been, always will be.
  22. I'm sure many Wolves fans were looking forward to seeing Laguta ride at Monmore tonight but are now denied that pleasure. Seems crazy that Belle Vue fans had the opportunity to see him but Wolves fans won't. If riders are contracted to a club they should ride and certainly in all league matches.
  23. I only mentioned Budapest because I fancy going there for a weekend break and having a GP there would double the excitement! Seriously though, I am just toying with new ideas because something needs to be done. Volleyball at the North Pole could be fun??
