To be fair to the Belle Vue promotion, they are use to a rutty track at the old stadium, maybe that's what they thought speedway tracks are all like. :-P Here's looking forward to what a shambles the World Cup will be. Major mistake offering it to a track that hadn't been built at the point of being announced. Let's hope we see back at Kings Lynn.

Speedway is a business, that is slowly dying a painful death in this country. The standard of racing in the top flight or lack of it, is one reason why I haven't bothered going to any Poole meetings. Looking at alot of the teams, they dont excite me anymore. The flame is slowly dying inside me for a sport I used to love passionately.

Thanks for that guys, I am hoping to sponsor a talented rider next season. Its just nice to know who is doing it right out there atm.

Thanks for the reply guys/gals. Having just been diagnosed with Bi-Polar, I just wanted to know if I was entitled to any discount.

Hey, I am after an engine that is dead or unuseable, so that I can learn to take apart and rebuilt it. Thanks in advance. From HBKPCNBob

Hello, Could you tell me if being disabled that I'd get a discount on entry?

We all love seeing new riders coming through the system, who are showing potential and the talent required to compete in our great sport. This post is for anyone to post in, who thinks a rider deserves our attention and support.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Does anyone have contacts or know is it easy enough for a British rider to go over to Poland for practise? If they are at any level of development.
-
Fantastic looking stadium. Thanks for the link Mateusz. It is going to be awesome, watching the WC in that Stadia in July.
-
There is so far nothing that confirms the new silencers are either. Until the likes of Crump, Pedersen, Hancock etc complain that they are dangerous, I cannot see only 1 Nation or a select group of riders from that Nation changing it for all. Maybe this silencer is revealling a bigger problem in the sport?? and had another motive not just to conqeur noise levels.
-
Mateusz, we want common sense to prevail here not the attitude of "we pay the most money, so we should be the ones to rule speedway". I always get the impression from the PZM, that they wouldn't care if the whole speedway world outside of Poland fell to its knees and died, so long as they had the best in the world riding in Poland and nowhere else.
-
Nonsense, if it means either running the sport in Sweden minus the Polish riders, or have no sport of speedway at all, then its bye bye Poles in Sweden. No Country or Leagues should be held to ransom by another Countries authority!
-
This is one of the reasons for the new silencers, both in Sweden and Great Britain, the sport is at threat of closure, due to the noise levels. Just because Poland/Polish authorities deem them not needed, doesn't mean the rest of the world will follow. If the PZM now ban Polish riders from riding in meetings that use the new silencers, then will this have some riders turning their back on the PZM, so they can ride in the GP's??

Kings Lynn 2011 World Cup

Great news, another reason to go visit one of my favourite tracks next season. -
2 nice, close meetings. Shame with Brundle getting injured in the 1st meeting, made it a bit easier for the Cobras who I thought before today would run us very close. Strudwick and the reserves rode very well for Rye. Knight was superb in both meetings and Morley was the star in the 2nd meeting, he looked very smooth and rode more like a heatleader then a reserve today.

Polish Ekstraliga Sunday 22nd August
HBKPCNBob replied to Mateusz's topic in International World of Speedway
As the meeting at Poole on Wed night is simply a friendly against Team Australia, the likelihood is this Polish meeting will come ahead in the priorties list for the riders. Now lets hope for rain on Wed. -
Rye havent held a Senior FIM meeting though. AFAIK its only Grand Prix related and World Cup meetings that require the air fence. That said Rye is far too small and viewing would be partly blocked off around the bends if an air fence was erected there. Then the fact the Rye fence has gotta be one of the safest in the country, it certainly doesnt need "padding up".
-
I think too it would make alot of difference how the away riders attack the track if the bends had the air fences on them each week at both PL and NL level. It showed in the WC how well they work. Tai would of certainly been hospital bound after his crash Monday night if he didnt have the protection of the air fence that night.

Swc Event 2, King's Lynn, 26/7

On Shields maybe, but Proctor would be with Doolan at the bottom of that Aussie Squad, in terms of ranking imo. -

Dont worry Emz, it aint gonna be as busy as last year at Peterborough because the Poles aint gonna be there. You'll have plenty of time to find a car park space. Knowing you, you'll probably be there early enough to park in the Stadium car park. -
Cardiff Grand Prix
HBKPCNBob replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
As he hasnt even returned to racing at all since he had the injury, I very much doubt he'd be at Cardiff. No big loss tbh as he disappointed me last season with only having 1/2 of his heats were he actually looked any good.
