So for Leigh to win the title he must win the A final and Jason has to be third, If he comes second he will still win the title. -
Aussie Title Round 3 Mildura Results

Taken from Robins web site. MAGNIFICENT MILDURA WIN FOR LEIGH ADAMS MILDURA - January 11, 2007: Defending Australian Champion Leigh Adams was in sparkling form when he took out the third round of the Linddales Labour Hire Australian Motorcycle Speedway Championship Series at Olympic Park, Mildura last night. In sweltering conditions, the home town hero looked the goods from the outset, whilst Championship leader - World Champion Jason Crump - was at his most vulnerable, finishing last in his opening heat. The A-Final was the best of the Championship so far. Adams lined up on the inside gate, Crump on the extreme outside. They flanked Travis McGowan and Simon Stead. The first start saw Crump get away smartly, but McGowan become hooked up with Adams bike and they both went down in turn one. Version two was all about Adams. He got the jump into turn one and skipped away to a two bike length lead. Crump showed why he has been dubbed the "Rottweiler in a racesuit" - hounding Adams for the entire four lap journey. The lock-out crowd were brought to their feet when Crump went deep into the final brace of turns attempting to wrest victory from Adams, but it wasn't to be - the Mildura Marvel took an emotional victory over the World Champ, with McGowan finishing third - his best result of the Series so far. Stead came in for a fourth place, which probably didn't do justice to the night he enjoyed. Just five points separate Crump and Adams with two rounds remaining in the Linddales Championship chase. "This is unbelievable," said a clearly emotional Adams. "We've had a very tough run and really needed to get one over Jason tonight. We're taking it one step at a time and will continue to battle away. I know my way around Gillman pretty well and Mount Gambier will be a bit of a lottery, but we're in there with a fighting chance." Crump knew he may have struggled coming into the event and wasn't too disappointed about finishing as the runner up. "Leigh was pretty desperate to get a win up," said the double World Champion. "I had an opportunity to get him on the final turn, but he would have had to make a mistake. Leigh only makes about three mistakes a year, so I knew that was going to be difficult." McGowan's performance was superb in front of his home crowd and he feels things from here will be much improved. "I struggled a bit on the big tracks so to come here and do so well is very good," he said. "It gives me a great deal of confidence going to Gillman, which is in some ways similar to here. We should be right from here on in." B-Final honours went to Newcastle (NSW) flyer, Jason Doyle. Doyle's ride was brilliant from the outset, getting one over Steven Johnston - who - if other results had've gone his way - would have displaced the World Champion from the A-Final. Doyle himself would be rueing missing his first A-Final berth - getting some extra drive in his fourth heat and rearing up whilst leading cost him a chance at vital points. Points were difficult to come by all night, evidenced by the star-studded first heat, where McGowan upstaged Adams, British Champ Scott Nicholls and Crump. Nicholls - who was once again impressive - finished third in the B, with Mark Lemon coming home fourth. There were a couple of major incidents on a night that was characterised by sensational racing, the most scary being Chris Holder. The Sydney-based youngster who rides for the Isle of Wight in the British Premier League went underneath Crump in heat 13 and came off second best - collecting the wall hard, his bike very nearly clearing the safety fence. Holder damaged his elbow in the incident and was out for the night, but vowed he'd live to fight another day. That incident was only to be backed up by a heavy fall in the next heat from young local, Cory Gathercole. Gathercole crashed heading into turn one and smashed the fence back first. After some initial concern was shown, Gathercole was soon back on his feet and told the crowd he'd be right to "give it another crack." Other surprising results included the performance of Rory Schlein and Troy Batchelor. Schlein entered the event third in the Championship and despite looking sharp in practice, scored just seven points on the night and missed both finals. Batchelor finished the 20 heats on six points and has yet to look comfortable in the Championship. The Linddales Labour Hire travelling troupe now hits the road for the penultimate round of the prestigious tournament to be conducted at Adelaide's Gillman Speedway on Friday night, January 12, with the final round to be held at Borderline Speedway Mount Gambier on Saturday night. Taken from the Robins website CRUMP SUPREME IN SYDNEY SYDNEY - January 5, 2007: World Champion Jason Crump has continued his run of success in tonight's second round of the Linddales Labour Hire Australian Motorcycle Speedway Championship at the Sydney Showground, which marked the return to form of Leigh Adams and the continued success of West Australian, Steve Johnston. Crump was supreme, taking victory in each of his six rides in comfortable fashion. Leigh Adams was magnificent - he won four heat races and came home in a valiant second in the final. South Australian Rory Schlein was once again impressive - deposing Johnston to fourth in the final. Johnston was superb and has maintained his second place overall in the Championship - without doubt the surprise packet of the Linddales Championships. The B-Final was the race of the night. Chris Holder got the start and a blanket could have covered the four riders. British Champion - Scott Nicholls - was running a solid second until he had a major engine blow-up. Mark Lemon - who took an impressive heat race win in the final round of heats - advanced to second place, with Cory Gathercole cruising in for third. Holder's win was popular with the massive Sydney crowd. Early in the event, there was a tinge of controversy when the tapes did not fly evenly. After heat two, Jason Crump met with officials regarding the issue. The third heat, the same problem occurred, Newcastle's Jason Doyle pulled up on the track and officials decided to re-run the heat. This caused issues with riders from the previous heats - led by Rory Schlein - and to be fair, Schlein had a point - if they were to re-run heat three they should have re-run all three. Nevertheless, the event continued. Tom Hedley took a heavy fall in his fourth heat in turn one, however was able to re-start. Gathercole found form, pushing Adams all the way in one heat, so too Englishman Simon Stead - who had one impressive heat race victory to his credit. "It was a great event and everything is really going well," said Crump after the event. "It was fairly tough out there, you know, Leigh was back on it and Mildura will be interesting as there are so many riders - myself included - that began their careers there." Adams was philosophical. "I'm not that happy, I wanted to be standing on the top step of the podium," he said. "But, I'm doing what everyone else in the world is doing at the moment - and that is chasing Jason Crump. Bring on Mildura, I used to hate the place because I never did that well there, but I have had a run of success there lately." Schlein regarded his night as troubled, but was happy with his consistency. "It was up and down, you know. I made another A-Final, I'm still in there, so I'm aiming to continue on this consistent path over the next three rounds and finish within that top three." The next round of the Linddales Labour Hire Australian Motorcycle Speedway Championship will be at Mildura's Olympic Park this coming Wednesday night, January 10. Matt Payne

Report of meeting from Robins web site Looks like Jason is braging.(see Below) CRUMP TAKES VICTORY AT NEWCASTLE Newcastle - January 3, 2007: Jason Crump started his 2007 Linddales Labour Hire Australian Motorcycle Speedway Championship Series in fine form at Newcastle Showground this evening taking a superb victory over Steve Johnston and British Champion Scott Nicholls and the hugely impressive South Australian, Rory Schlein. The big story though was the performance of defending and nine time Australian Champion Leigh Adams. After winning his first heat, he suffered two DNFs whilst leading - one in his third heat throwing a chain and in his final heat an ignition box failure. His second heat, Leigh finished second to Schlein, who had already claimed the scalp of World Champion Jason Crump in the first round. Adams salvaged fifth place in the meeting after winning the B-Final from Chris Holder, young rising star Tom Hedley and Victorian, Mark Lemon. The loss to Schlein was the result of a 'wardrobe malfunction' according to the World Champion. "The truth is I was wearing a new racesuit and when I dropped the clutch, the crotch split open!" Crump laughed. "After that I was fine, the race track was great and it was fantastic to be riding back in Australia once more." Crump went on to win the remaining races in comfortable style. Schlein, Hedley and Johnston were the stars of the show. Schlein brought the capacity crowd to its feet with his victory over Crump, only to back that up with a win over Adams - the two biggest scalps in the tournament. Hedley made a stunning Championship debut, qualifying for the B-Final, impressing all on hand with his skill, particularly after he qualified through the qualifying meeting on December 30. Johnston put in arguably his finest performance on home soil - the charismatic West Australian nabbing second place on the line from Nicholls - who went his first three races undefeated. "It was a great way to start the Championship," said an elated Johnston. "There are four rounds still to go, so I'm taking it in my stride at the moment and we'll see what happens from there, but I'm stoked with second place." Nicholls - who has only been in the country for four days - was very happy with his performance. "I'm extremely happy to start the Linddales Championships in this way," said Nicholls. "I felt a bit vulnerable at times actually. The young guys here in Australia are just riding so well." The crowd were witness to some insane racing from the 16 riders throughout the 22 races. The track started out quite slick before fining up to produce some of the best Speedway seen in Australia. Local boy, Jason Doyle had a mixed night, impressing with seven points at the conclusion of his heats. The full rundown after the 20 heats were as follows: 1. Jason Crump - 14 points 2. Rory Schlein - 13 points 3. Scott Nicholls - 13 points 4. Steve Johnston - 11 points 5. Chris Holder - 10 points 6. Tom Hedley - 10 points 7. Mark Lemon - 8 points 8. Leigh Adams - 8 points 9. Jason Doyle - 7 points 10. Simon Stead - 7 points 11. Travis McGowan - 6 points 12. Troy Batchelor - 5 points 13. Cameron Woodward - 3 points 14. Cory Gathercole - 3 points 15. Trevor Harding Jnr - 2 points 16. Tyron Proctor - 0 points -

taken from the Swindon web site ROSCO BUOYED BY TEST MATCH ALLOCATION! Following the release of the official fixture list, Swindon co-promoter Alun Rossiter is delighted that Blunsdon will be hosting a Test match between Team GB and Sweden on 11 April. He commented: 'This is another big meeting for us to host and as such, I'm delighted. It gives our supporters another chance to see Tony Rickardsson in what will be his final year of racing. He is one of the true class riders in modern speedway and it will be great to see him in Test action at the Blunsdon bowl. There is also the prospect of seeing Lee Richardson representing Team GB and I'm sure everyone will recall his memorable showing in the World Cup meeting at the Abbey last year. Hopefully, Seb Alden will be involved with the Sweden team, thereby keeping up the Robins' level of involvement. All in all, this is another great step as we endeavour to keep Swindon Speedway moving forward.' -
