  1. With 3 Poles, 3 Swedes, & 3 Danes already qualified I can't see another being selected as a wildcard. A Czech would be picked as they always support these events so Klima as the best in the rounds. Then a British rider & as the same reason as above it would be Rowe. The third choice is a lottery Maybe a second Brit or Czech with Gilkes & Chulpac in the running
  2. When the Referee turns up with two young children & has to walk around with an FIM coat on he is more concerned about keeping himself & his kids safe. He made a decision based on fear. If this had happened outside of Poland then I believe the outcome would have been different
  3. Killeen the trump card at reserve, but his gating needs to be better moving forward
  4. Preben Eriksen was always a hard rider, never really the star in the Danish set up but played his part as an enforcer & gave more favored opponents a rough ride. Jan Steachmann always had imaculate kit always reliable on & off the track I remember him from Long Eaton & Stoke mainly. But since his retirement from racing his input into the young Danish riders as Manager has been remarkable.
  5. I'm not sure that "Boogaloo" is still racing. I think his only riding these day's is for demonstration only. The years are catching up with Bobby, He's a good way into his 6th decade.
  6. I have to wonder why they would build a second track at the same venue. I was there some years ago & it was a great track for the 500cc sidecars at the time.
  7. Speedway is a funny sport. Each rider will sign a contract for a season, that much I understand. Now when the season ends & the new one is starting each team needs 7 riders. If a rider from season 1 is not one of the new seasons 7 he is left without a valid contract so is in fact a free agent & can choose a new team. Jordan Jenkins confuses me even more as he rode for Redcar & Oxford last season so is he an asset of both clubs?
  8. Jordan Jenkins is in a great run of form at present, he's making that run around the outside on turn 4 his trademark. The most entertaining rider on track again last night.
  9. I'd have to agree that the booking fee is something that has annoyed myself as well. Whilst trying to book for Newbury races for 6 people I had a £30 booking fee thats 6 X £5 for a single transaction. We never went, I'll pay the £5 but not £5 for each ticket when all booked together. I think we believe the same facts that why should we pay the fee when it is us that have done all the work
  10. I'd say that if he has an exisiting average obtained from the previous (2022) season then that would count (without the deduction), should his Championship average be from seasons before then either the conversion from the other league or an assessed average would be applied
  11. I've had some sort of mobile device since 1986 when I was in my 20's that was near 40 years back. I'm that much older as well & there are many things I don't like about the modern phones however I like many 60+ year old's are very capable of using most hand held devices & I think a lot of those that say they can't are just looking for an excuse not to attend the live event. On Wednesday night the racing was some of the best I have seen since the reopening & I got to watch the football in the bar as well. A perfect night out (unless your an Arsenal fan from Edinburgh)
  12. The Danish team were a class above all else on the day. Ukraine were never competitive which left GB & CZ to fight the small over points. Denmark gave their young reserve a chance in the final races just for his experience & development. After the 2022 Golden Helmet I think Vaclav Milek is a little tired of following Dan Bewley in the last race
  13. If he should ride there& not attend Pardubice he could face an fim suspension which would mean he won't be able to race anywhere But I understand Glasgow are now using a facility for him I fear it maybe a wasted journey but one he needs to make all the same
  14. Gotcha! so the same as that Norwegian fella that rides the British leagues most weeks "Rider Replacement"
  15. It was not contained to Poole riders. It was quite widespread. The tyres were softened with a substance that was used in Go Kart racing to soften their tyres. This is why fitting of tyres is now to be done at the track.
  16. I know its a pain but I think I'd rather not start at this stage of the season if it's light rain seeing riders act like Bambi on ice is far from entertaining & I'm sure won't help them either. As much as I want to see a meeting I want to see proper racing.
  17. Almost...... It got rained off at Poole
  18. Connor Bailey (Workington) 8.86 Nathan Ablitt (Kent) 7.20 Ace Pijper (Workington) 6.90 Adam Roynon (Edingburgh) 6.00 Archie Freeman (Berwick) 5.29 George Congreve (Mildenhall) 4.50 Luke Killeen (Oxford) 3.00 Total 41.75
  19. I've got a team selected just awaiting the points limit allowed as I shot myself in the foot last season!
  20. The big disadvantage of no pay at the door on the day facility is you can't take someone along without making a prior plan. I have a friend that is a massive rugby fan & I was in his area one saturday morning so I dropped in to see him. As time passed he asked if I'd like to go to watch his rugby club play & of course I agreed only to discover their pre-pay only policy. So the outcome is my friend lost his £15 for not attending & the club lost £15 by not allowing me to pay on the day via cash, card or in kind. I understand we are in the 21st centery but also people are now living a hectic lifestyle where plans are very fluid & change quickly.
  21. What A track for a final.... I used to hate going there as the surface is black sticky & impossible to get off.
