  1. Worst one for us last year was bike troubles and we could not sort it in the 15 20 min so owen missed all three races . Bike was fine before we left home to travel dowm but hey sometimes that happens
  2. Unfortunalety there is very few teams for the whole season so lots of time off apart from practise session what is not as good as racing . Second halfs are good and my lad has always been suported by all the clubs but 3 races in 15-20 mins is hard to make changes to set ups
  3. Just reading this thread . How is this laughable . My family are not a rich family myself partner and son all work and pay for his riding what cost a lot . At times it really hard to get time of work especially for rearnaged meetings when we have took leave for the first meeting thats been cancelled .i would guess this is the same for most parents or hopfull riders. If the sport was perfect then NDL and NJL would take place over a weekend of bank holidays to allow familys to earn and pay. As they say its ment to be a devepoment league
  4. It was a shame we never got to do the home meeting at Berwick . It rained though out the races last night
  5. I personally think it's down to cost for a lot of people also when you think Redcar don't run practice days or amature meetings any more because of lack of entries last year so there's less rides apart from second halfs and some amature meetings at Scunthorpe . For my lad to race scunny in amature race it's around 120 pounds all in entry diesel food. For a second half for us to travel to Edinburgh Glasgow for diesel and some food problys 80 pound. It certainly adds up
  6. Ha. now I get you sorry yea it's struggling for sure my lad is one of the Berwick riders
  7. I thought they were guesting for the cubs tonight I could be wrong though. Do you know who rode and the scores
  8. After the above score Berwick academy drew with West Lothian wildcats on the 2nd may at Edinburgh 18 each. Berwick academy then won at home 27 7 I think against Redcar cubs last night. Berwick academy away to Glasgow tonight

  10. Only time we have been stopped riding is either due to rain or because of a accident during the meeting and time has run out what is totally acceptable
  11. Just to say Owen has never been treat with contempt at any club doing second halfs he has always been welcomed Before Owen was working money was an issue as diesel and bike cost do make it hard for a normal family but we rode when possible. this year is looking sparse for him at the moment but I'm sure he will be welcomed for second half racing . Carnt wait to get going
