  1. I've given up on Woffy and Lambert today' so I've transferred my allegiance to Thomsen for this meeting. Lol Seems like he could end up making a Mark for himself this year, thought he was impressive last season In Poland so let's hope there's more to come.
  2. Article in the Cov Telegraph at least gives a bit more publicity to evrybodys hopes of a return and a link to the latest news letter. Got to say thanks to the group for their perseverance and maybe one day Speedway and Stox will return https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/campaign-group-signals-bid-bring-20974199?utm_source=coventry_live_newsletter&utm_campaign=daily_newsletter2&utm_medium=email Can't get the link to copy correctly ?? didn't want to use up space with copying whole article etc.
  3. Second for Kemp and third for Flint, another step on the ladder for all of them looks like 12 for Palin as well , edited for missing his score

    Jack Geran

Very sad news and condolences to his family , I remember Jack on his visits to Brandon with Leicester and Oxford, a classic rider of the fifties and sixties. RIP Jack
  5. Take a bow Adam Ellis, not easy to go to Terrazano in difficult conditions and get a result. To me it always seems like Adam is the forgotten one of our younger generation of riders, and I reckon he deserves far more credit than he gets. And congrats to Max as well, that will quieten some of the doubters like me.
  6. It was probably Gemini just having one last fling.
  7. Sorry to break the news Martin but Crescent Girl isn't a lass maybe he's having some late in life identity crisis Belated congratulations to you and Barry for the stalwart work that you've done for speedway on the island over the years. Only wish I'd had the opportunity to visit in the past.
  8. With Rowe and Kemp Ipo have got a really good pairing of promising young Brits. Looks like the experience gained in Poland is paying off already, it certainly seems to have brought Bewley and Adam on as well.
  9. Good to see Adam Ellis scoring well, let's hope is a sign of further progress for him and maybe team GB
  10. So pleased that they are holding this meeting. over sixty years ago when he came to Coventry he became my favourite rider from his very first meeting, he was unique, as I believe he was the first Polish rider in a UK team, he cheerfully signed an autograph for me, smiled at everybody and was a live wire on the track, and a brilliant rider. It was a sad day when he left the Bees but he has always been remembered. Thoughts will be with his family, friends and everybody in Poland today. Hopefully a Zyto style entertaining meeting as fitting tribute. A brilliant way to kick off the season
  11. I don't know anybody who'd like to pinch her muskets

    Olle Nygren

Very sad news, Olle was a "one off" who gave so much to the sport. RIP Olle
  13. Haha, you got the quote the right way around this time Steve ! !
  14. My favourite all time rider, loved his smooth style especially coming off the bends, It seems an eternity ago, but he's looking very fit and well. If only he could have won the world title.
  15. It's alright guys it's not hot gossip ! It's that time of the year to say a really big thank you to both to Sue and R and R for the brilliant results service that Sue and her gang provide, and to R and R for his fantastic mine of information and knowledge of Polish and European speedway, and above all providing us with links so that we can enjoy quality speedway on the internet. You've both kept my life time involvement and interest in speedway alive Happy New Year to you both and stay safe Roll on April !
  16. That brings back memories of the home made tracks we raced on in my teens when there was loads of ice and snow, best fun I've ever had on a bike. It made the winters more bearable.
  17. I find netweather.tv to be the most accurate, go to rain radar, click animation on, and you'll see exactly where the weather is coming from. It updates every five minutes.
  18. Really pleased that Lindsey won it, he's really progressed over the last two seasons and things are looking up for the Aussies with Max making his mark on the GP series as well.
  19. Certainly looks good on a 500 for a fifteen year old, it'll be good to follow his progress over the next couple of years.
  20. Correct decision , Lyager just went from gate 1 straight to the boards.
