  1. Must admit, cos I was doing updates I didn't really study the programme. Was more a case of updates first (usually while the race was running, texting blind) then fill in the programme. That way I get the updates out before the riders have left the track. Yeah, forgot to say get well soon John, looked like a bad un, but could have been a lot lot worse, ask poor Luke Bowen.
  2. Hmmm...after looking at the programme again, it seems you were right. When's the re-run? I think Lyons would have won it off 15 metres to be honest, he was that good. Mind you, I'd have liked to see him miss a gate once, just to see
  3. I have it as: Winner of first semi (Brent) went into gate 3 on green, runner up in second semi (Lanham) went into gate 4 in yellow. Was this not the case?
  4. Details here: http://www.speedwayaction.com/RH2005/pages/home1.asp
  5. And miss the chance to see Len Slver & Michael Lee on a speedway bike again? Got to be worth the admission price alone.
  6. Didn't mean to cause offence, Vic Harding died before I even knew what speedway was! I'll still be going, just to see Len Silver on a speedway bike and the ice bike track record attempt. I know what you mean Rob. I've taken to hiding youngest wizzling in the boot of the car under a blanket, just to save £3 admission. Gonna try and get BOTH wizzlings in the boot this weekend Mildenhall did the exact same thing last weekend.
  7. I expected to see something a little different for this. I haven't been to previous Vic Harding meets, so don't know what the line ups have been, but looking at the winners over the last three years since it's return-Tommy Allen, Jack Gledhill, James Theobold-I'd say pretty lame. There's the Len Silver/Michael Lee match race, the ice bike track record attempt and the men in black, that's hardly gonna pull the crowd in. Saying that I'll most probably go, cos the kids will want to.
  8. He should perfect an Aussie accent, then the Chapmans will come sniffing around, arms swinging, picking and eating the nits out of each others hair. Hardly a mouthwatering line up is it.
  9. Does this mean Mr Vega will be showing up, or will he be making yet ANOTHER excuse?
  10. Was working up in Middlesbrough today, so decided to try and find the site of Cleveland Park Stadium. Am I right in guessing that it was on the site of the 5-a-side football pitches, next to the college, in the shadow of the flyover?
  11. Locals are only used to seeing processional home 5-1's. They wouldn't be interested in "proper" racing.
  12. Gary Cottham has a badly broken leg sustained at Rye House a few weeks ago.
  13. I guessed before I read your post that you'd go against the grain on this one Chris
