In fairness, one was in heat 21 and then heat 22. Would’ve been a bold move to pull him out of heat 22 and put Flint in having not had a ride to that point. If they’d done that and Leon had finished last we’d be crucifying the team management for being so silly. You really have to commit to either giving an early ride or not at all, I think.

To be fair, he said that after the heat 1 crash, when 2 Edinburgh riders had withdrawn. His complaint wasn’t that we’d lost, because they hadn’t even completed a race yet.

What happened in heat one?

Surely once it gets to the playoffs, all teams will only agree to dates their riders are available?

I’ve decided not to go. I like the competition, but two riders out from the team means it’s not appealing to me, especially as I can watch those two on the TV for free. Suspect I’ll give Berwick a miss on Saturday too, on account of the SON final. And Sunday is out too as I’ll be at the Touring Cars at Knockhill! Bad scheduling all round.

Track was fine. No idea why they kept falling off to be honest. The only one who went down near someone else was Knudsen in heat 14. The others were completely solo crashes (apart from Ricky Wells going into the back of Pijper when he came off, of course, but that was collateral).

Knudsen's fine. Scored a point in the re-run. It looked probably the nastiest crash of the night, yet he got up the fastest.

And Knudsen just rode straight into them!

Knudsen just tried to run between Basso and the boards. Ref excludes Basso. No one understands that decision. Doesn't matter for points, but total crackpot decision.

Since it's called the Jubilee thingy, maybe we need a points Jubilee and the points should be based on heat 15 only?

I actually thought Knudsen's been decent. Not a lot of points but shown some speed.

Flint's down on his own now. Not sure why the Bandits are all falling between 1 and 2, but it's a magnet for them tonight. Sam Jensen would be impressed.

Chris Louis commentating with Nicholls on the screen would work very well. Sam needs to go. He adds nothing. Natalie was fanastic but Abi does a very good job too. They’re very different presenters. Natalie is a lot more serious in her approach, Abi’s cheekier. I’ve got room for both. I love Abi’s interviews with the riders, and she knows her stuff.
