  1. I think Ace will be fine. He had great style in his first ride, but he was always going to be up against it. Jacob Hook can be handy around Armadale, not sure why he’s getting shade. Ace, Lee and Marcin will be fine around Ashfield, I’m sure. And that why they’re in the team. Away points will help, but they’re there to help us win big at home, and the other four should help us keep things close away. If that happens, Glasgow should look good at the end of the season, and hopefully less walking wounded going into the playoffs. Return leg tomorrow should be good though. It’ll give us a fairer idea of the two teams overall.
  2. Kye and Paco looked a good pairing tonight. Hook decent too. Chris Harris was great to watch, and Vissing was on it too. Marcin was a bit all over the place. One good ride, three duds. Till better than his first time, I guess. Wish Edinburgh would find a new track soon though, so they can have one with a bit more passing.
  3. Yeah, that was strange. Claus or Ben were better choices. I’d have taken Claus, after his heat 14 with Harris. They seemed to work well together, and covered the track well… which didn’t happen in heat 15 and Pickering picked off both of them through the middle. That’s was half the evening’s passing, right there.
  4. I’m going to say a 12-point home win, but it’s hard to predict at Armadale.
  5. Best action of the night after heat 14!
  6. The home riders are doing so well, BSN have them averaging more than 3 points a ride
  7. I'd take Glasgow's team all day long - but not round Armadale. Home win. Different story come the Sunday meet. Hopefully that's a bigger home win!
  8. Tom does need to - really got outshone by Ben last year, albeit he did do a good job at 5. He was landed in it a bit. Marcin’s away average will determine where he is - if he can take care of that, I fully expect him to become the third heat leader, which is mad, given the two second strings we’d be left with are bona fide heat leaders themselves.
  9. Yeah, the 1-5 is looking fantastic. I don’t see Ace or Lee escaping the reserve berths for very long, if at all. Nothing against them, just the fact of what they’re up against. I’m interested to see who does best out of Marcin, Claus and Tom - I think Ben and Chris are a step ahead. Although Marcin’s home record on his brief spell in 2021was as good as anyone (bar Craig, but even that, not by much).
  10. Yeah, last year's suits weren't great. I loved the 2021 suits though.
  11. I cancelled my subscription mid season last year when they had repeated issues. They gave me a free month, things got a lot better, and I was happy to resubscribe after that. The product was much, much better second half of the season.
  12. Just wondering, are Eurosport covering British Speedway this season, or is it all via BSN? I’ve seen Eurosport post about Speedway GP, but haven’t found anything at all about the domestic league.
  13. It would make sense to move one other team to the Premiership. My vote is for Plymouth. Too far away and I don’t like the track.
  14. Harris won and Gilkes was taken out. I just watched it back again and it’s clear as day! You can easily see Harris won by just pausing the video at the line.
  15. Yes, exactly that. Shouldn't happen, but it does. Hence why I prefer Chromecast, because that doesn't care about the device your casting from - the technology works in a different way. But Android tablets are garbage. It's a first world problem, and I have plenty ways to solve it.
  16. So, I logged in via the QR code on my Samsung TV. Worked about as well as you can expect it to on a TV. Biggest issue is actually the navigation with the TV remote, will get easier with me just using it. I've never used the web browser on my TV. Also, audio on USA Vs ROW is fixed!
  17. Yeah, I find AirPlay to be a horrible mess though. It often can't cope when you continue using the device you originally AirPlayed from, which I do a lot. Chromecast is much more reliable.
  18. I think it was September when I found out there was an app! It did seem to be a well-kept secret. In fairness, the new site does almost everything the app did, except... Can't Chromecast from an iPad, which is a bit of a pain. But I know that's an Apple limitation.
  19. I’ll need to try that - that’s a great feature, especially for those of us who use unique, long, complex passwords.
  20. Tried out the new app today. Seems good. However, the audio and video on the Team USA vs ROW is out of sync by seconds. Makes it very difficult to watch. Is that something that can be fixed?
  21. The Old Firm has been confirmed as Saturday 8 April now, and the Edinburgh fixture at Ashfield has been clarified as Sunday 9 April, as expected. Glasgow's website has been updated, but not the British Speedway website. Time not publicly confirmed, but I'd guess it would be 15:00.
