  1. You’ll find out when they have actually made their minds up, probably on the night !
  2. It appears Redcar fans can’t read there own club Facebook pages. The ‘ Amateur ‘ meeting is ONE day, with two sessions, morning for most classes, afternoon for the ‘ Open ‘ class. No spectators. A very impressive turnout for an ‘ amateur ‘ meeting and it’s a sponsored event too , by NPNG Haulage.
  3. You need a new calendar, there’s 8 days to go...
  4. Just a bit longer than Bates then
  5. Looking at the line up for Redcars ‘ Amateur ‘ meeting Open Class, its a pity paying spectators aren’t allowed as that would draw a crowd
  6. The lack of clarity speaks volumes which I find disappointing considering it’s a development league. Will Compton also fit in as a ‘ Rising Star ‘ ?.....let’s wait and see. Rule 1, Aricle 3, sub section IV....” if it can’t be explained away according to any other rule, then “ in the best interests of the sport “ rule applies.
  7. There’s several that will fit, the issue is will they ride in the UK? and at the moment it appears they are all saying “ no”.
  8. Thank you for posting an interesting response. Obviously I was not at the NDL AGM and my post was one from a long term , northern based, fans point of view. As I said, it’s your business and your choice as what to do with your club, I have no issue with you or your choice. Whilst it’s disappointing any club finds reason to withdraw from a division because of the rules that have been put in place the same rules have encouraged other clubs to join that otherwise , I’ve been informed, would not have done. I do appreciate that the lack of consultation would have been a major issue and I personally , in your situation, would have also been extremely annoyed with the way the sport is being run. I am no fan of the ‘ top table ‘ and can only see the sport I love going down the toilet with the current leadership but I also don't see them letting go of the power to an independent body to try and rescue it. Good luck with whatever avenue you take I just find it a shame you didn’t take the Mildenhall approach and give it a try but as Ive said, your club , your choice.
  9. Ego perhaps ? They have stated their case in umpteen forms and that’s fine, the final choice was theirs. The claim about costs of reserves wages in the championship doesn’t hold true. Reserves will be paid what reserves get, no cost saving for anybody there. Mildenhall are giving it a go and the latest ‘ IOW for France’ headline is getting them the headlines they seek. I find it very sad that they felt the need to leave the NDL but it’s their business, they chose to leave so it’s their decision. I do hope they resurface somewhere down the line in the NDL or even championship.
  10. “The NDL is threatening the higher leagues “ , have you lost your marbles ? . The “ imposed rules “ how do they “solely benefit the CL ? “ Few clubs pay accommodation and all the “ other frills “ , unless you sign for Glasgow those things rarely, if ever , happen now. Riders have to pay for their own visa’s, clubs only pay for a work permit to employ such riders. You come across , repeatedly , as extremely bitter and you need to get over it. Ever other one of your posts is ranting about the changes in the NDL and how your glass is completely empty never mind half full. Try talking about something positive for a change.
  11. You ever thought about applying for a job with the Samaritans ? Doom, doom, doom. Your upset with decisions that have been made, we get it. Move on .
  12. Pictures taken very recently. There’s no pits or other buildings because they are not there! Track has been made a lot bigger (when it’s completed ) lots of ongoing work.
  13. Perhaps as the IOW have ‘ withdrawn ‘ from BSPL they will no longer have a SCB track licence and therefore on a sticky wicket with insurance for speedway events ? The last time riders threatened to ride in an unlicensed event they were told their race licences would be revoked, now that would cause a problem !
  14. Yes, I understand the few that made it to the UK were well received by junior riders but they were never taken on for long by a ‘ senior ‘ rider in competitive racing.
  15. Seen one for sale in the last twelve months, for just over 3 grand. I know as a person I know was after one for his collection.
  16. Roughly...divide £300 grand by 16 engines...he saw them coming and took them to the cleaners. Apparently they are still trying to get their money back 4 years later , not a hope in....
  17. You obviously didn’t keep up with that piece of controversy. They paid up front for a large delivery of engines and received just a few at around £18,000 per engine delivered. Real good bit of business !
  18. That used to be because the ‘ old school ‘ had to catch the last bus home and were at work the next morning , doesn’t really come into the reckoning now as we all have cars.
  19. I recall in the 90’s when it was one ‘ big division ‘ rider control was supposed to spread the heat leaders around the clubs. It didn’t happen and then they wanted to fine the weakest team for not having a decent side !
  20. At what point were you right ? Barry has ratified what I said, he’s a volunteer and he is top of nothing ! He probably volunteered to do it for nothing to make sure he had an advantage, if there was one to be gained.
  21. There is/ was one, and a club can be fined for fielding an under strength team. I remember Redcar turning up at our place without two riders who had missed a flight and had to use two of our juniors, they were fined for it .
  22. and what happened to them ?...another BSPA cock up.
  23. He is just a ‘ co-odinator ‘ , an unpaid volunteer . Whatever he makes a decision on has to be agreed by the top table mafia, so he’s not top of anything.
