Buster owns Ipswich too. Despite being told that the deal through. Chris Harris confirmed Buster owns all three so wouldn't write it off just yet even though rumour is Ipswich bound for Noddy. Speedway GP website. Chris Harris said the following. He said: “At the end of the day, there are not many clubs in the sport and Buster owns three of them,” he said. “It is what it is. You can moan and groan and whine and cry, but it doesn’t get you anywhere. You just end up left on the shelf and without a team at the start of the season. -

Not recently I don't think. Pretty sure he rode the Showground when he was a Robin many seasons ago though. -

Give me this 1-7 all day long. 6 pts a meeting from all 7 away from home means we take a league point everywhere we go. Nobody touches this team around the showground for sure. Tungate's a No.1 around the showground. Harris & Andersen false averages. MPT & BWD know the place inside out and wont have any trouble in getting to grips with the showground. Nicholls isn't great around the showground but away from the showground he can be our secret weapon. He will make mince meat out of other reserves on the road. He's still a Championship No.1 so it's not like he cant beat riders of lesser quality anymore. The only worry is Bech. But Dane's do love the Showground and you never know on the road. He's proven he can ride the technical tracks in Britain former Lakeside & Wolverhampton rider so that's a positive. Don't worry about the riding order as it will look completely different after the first set of GSA's For example start with 1. Tungate 2. Andersen 3. Bech 4. Harris 5. MPT 6. BWD 7. Nicholls Then for example let's say 1. Harris 2. BWD 3. Tungate 4. MPT 5. Andersen 6. Bech 7. Nicholls -

Depends who we're facing tbh. My personal opinion. I would rather build a 1-7 similar to Wolves rather than build a 1-7 like Swindon. Swindon are gambling on the big hitters performing 24/7 if one has an off night then the whole teams falls apart. Whilst Wolverhampton can afford a rider to have a bad night as the other are all capable of carrying the extra work load on any given night. I would rather go with Tungate at No.1 with Nicholls & BWD at reserve rather than going with NKI at No.1 with Ostergaard as the No.7. With the two strong reserves if they did move into the 1-5 it wouldn't make a difference as they would be replaced by MPT, Andersen or another rider who is far too good to be at reserve. Look at Ipswich last year. No firepower in the HL department but the reserves were mustard so it didn't make a difference. We have race winners all over the place so far. BWD, MPT & Harris are all capable of scoring big points. Chris Harris will end up with a GSA of 7.00 or more in 2020 if he stays fit. No doubt in my mind. His away GSA last season 6.48 and official average away from home was 7.12. We have the bargain of the season. Low average due to his dislike of Foxhall apart from that the stats say he's still a HL away from Foxhall. BWD another bargain. Before he got injured. Home GSA 6.11 and official home average 6.74 whilst his away averages were 5.23 and 5.69 respectively. Using his home averages we have a rider that scores like a No.3 or No.4 around the showground who will start the season at reserve for us. MPT knows the showground well and is more than capable of scoring six a meeting around the showground. His official away average for KL last season was 6.04 so if he can continue scoring 6 away from home every meeting then we will be right in the mix for silverware. -

He will start as a second string if he does ride for us. Power scoring reserve is the key to success. -

After the first set of GSA's he will probably be our No.1 Only has to get 6 pts in every away meeting. 8 pts in every home meeting and then he will put almost 1.5 pts onto his starting GSA and Hansi is well capable of that. -

Depends which way you're looking at it. Did Broc Nicol have multiple offers. If he did has CVS snapped him up now so he can use Nicol in future seasons too. Instead of letting him sign elsewhere and possibly missing out on the chance of signing him in years to come? I think it's a signing that is looking ahead more than just the 2020 season. I think CVS has a plan in place where he wants Becker & Nicol to be the No.1 & No.5 at Wolves in a few years so he didn't want to run the risk of Nicol going elsewhere so he was prepared to build 2.00 points under the limit. I honestly don't see this as a crazy move. I think it could work out very well. Very shrewd forward thinking business decision imo. -

He's a has been if we are to be brutally honest. Ever since the Darcy stuff his career has sunk like the titanic. So wouldn't worry over this one. Got to a point where even some Poole fans didn't want him at Poole anymore. -

Never know we might end up with a No.1 at the start of 2020. Have to see what Buster brings in 2020. -
Freddie said himself he's not interested in Britain or Sweden for 2020. It's on a Polish website that he wants to focus on the GP's and Poland in 2020. Greg Hancock said he cant commit to Sweden due to family issues so very slim chance he can commit to Britain considering the schedule is busier than Sweden. If a No.1 does crop up then it more than likely wont be either of those for the reasons the riders have personally given regarding schedules for 2020.

Same as most riders in this league. Think positive. I know last year was a disaster for us but honestly for example at the Showground Heat 13 between Tungate, Andersen, Kurtz & Kildemand is a pick em. Heat 13 between Tungate, Andersen, Thorssell & Masters is the same. Heat 13 between Tungate, Andersen, Klindt & King is the same All level playing fields. -

Plenty have said it's a title challenging side across various social media platforms and some on here. And they're right. 2 points under the limit means nothing with that side. You don't need a No.1 in this league. Masters & Thorssell will do the business around Monmore. Morris, Becker & Douglas will all improve starting GSA's. Rory Schlein is capable of doing a job in the engine room with his experience and Nicol could be anything. Could end up like Becker after one year or he could be a complete bust during his first year. If he's like Becker then that is 4 average improvers. With 3 at least maintaining starting GSA's. I think Wolves have the best team in the league so far despite being two points under the limit. What they lose in the HL department they more than make up for in the tail. I honestly would mind us going with BWD & Nicholls at reserve. Because the tail end is the most important element to winning titles imo. Reserves can take 7 rides. Replace any under performing rider. Reserves can also be forced into extra rides if a top end rider withdraws from a meeting. On paper. Stewart, Perks & Rowe Howarth, T. Kurtz & A. Morris get smacked 24/7 by Becker, Douglas & Nicol or Andersen, BWD & Nicholls. So what both clubs lose in the HL department they gain in the reserve / tail end department. -

Hans & Harris would be capable of doing that for us. Age is just a number. Both on false averages due to certain circumstances in 2019. Tungate also capable at home over an 8.00 point average. I would only take KL & Sheffield's top two as the others would be no different to ours. Masters & Thorssell would score well at home but bang average away from home. Same as our proposed top two. BV exactly the same. Brady a known choke artist at No.1. Kildemand back in British Speedway because he got dumped out of the Ekstraliga because Gorzow realised he wasn't good enough. Killer is bang average tbh. Good entertainment value but also reckless and prone to mistakes. Wouldn't rely on him to win a Heat 13 or Heat 15 over most heat leaders in this league. Klindt and King. No different to us. Score well at home but away bang average. King has never done anything on the road and Klindt has never ridden at No.1 They've all got faults plus there are 4 play-off spots up for grabs and who knows when the season is coming to an end Buster might be able to get a No.1 in for the last few meetings if we manage to take a play-off spot that's if we don't have one at the start of the season. Only top two that's reliable are King's Lynn & Swindon's. Everyone else it's a level playing field. All will score well at home but away from home they could easily be beaten by the home team's engine room on a consistent basis. -

Have to disagree. Other teams that people are raving about (BV & Wolves) Don't have a No.1 either. So far by the names announced and heavily rumoured signings Kurtz & Kildemand Klindt & King R. Lambert & Cook Nicki P & J. Holder Doyle & Batchelor Masters & Thorssell Take out KL's & Swindon's then other teams top two would be no better than ours if Tungate was to start at No.1. Everyone would score well at home but would also ride to the same standard away from home. Before SteveBrum or someone pipes up.....I haven't forgotten about Sheffield's....I just think Nicki P wont be half as good that some think he will be. 2nd rate equipment, Commitment issues. Not half the rider he use to be etc. But that's for a different thread. -

So far. No.7 either Nicholls or Ostergaard Nicholls would rip it up away from home. Ostergaard can claim some scalps whilst beating riders who he should be beating around the Showground. Two decent options. No.1's doubt it's going to happen but we don't need one anyway. Over 50% of teams don't have a No.1. But if we do get one either NKI or KK. Both capable of improving starting GSA's Other HL's or second strings. Tungate already proven his liking for our track throughout the years and is capable of maintaining his average. Plus he's our strongest home rider from last season. 7.73 GSA and Overall average at home of 8.27. Mikkel Bech he could be anything from great to pish poor but on a 6.26 he's worth the chance and Danes do love the Showground. I don't see a bad outcome whichever route we take. I think we would be the dark horses for the title. Not favourites. Dark horses there is a difference before people jump down my throat. Our 1-7 would be on par with Wolverhampton's whichever route we take. 1. 2. Hans - Can put over a point on his average. Maybe two points. False average because of injuries last season. 3. MPT - Maintain his average. Knows the track inside out. 4. Harris - Can put 0.75 - 1.00 on his average. False average due to his dislike of Foxhall. Will love the Showground. 5. 6. BWD - Can put half a point on his average. Knows the track inside out. 7. -

Great team being built. Heat winners galore at the moment when it comes to the Showground. MPT knows the fastest way around our place and the stats back that up. BWD the same. Chris Harris has the nickname Bomber for a reason. He will love our place and will put at least 0.75 to 1.00 on his starting GSA. Bargain of the season along with Hans. Bomber didn't have any problems at Somerset last year. He's a racer and not a trapper. Foxhall just doesn't suit Bomber and that is the only reason why he ended with a 6.16. So far 2 Riders that will improve starting GSA's if they stay injury free and one rider who can maintain his. Still got Hans to go if rumours are true so that is 3 average improvers out of 4. If we can get a No.1 then fantastic. If we cant give me Scotty Nicholls at reserve at least he can rip it up at reserve when we go to tracks like Ipswich & Wolves which could be valuable. We could virtually have a team of Two No.5's, Three No.3's and Two second strings. Cant complain with that. -

I'll take Bomber on a 6.00. Capable of putting a point onto his starting GSA. -

I wouldn't mind Ostergaard being announced as a signing in the morning. He maybe worth a punt as the No.7 on a 4.00 tbh. Still hope it's Hans though. -

Others worth considering. Jonas B. Andersen on a 5.91 Michael Haertel was given an assessed 5.20 in 2018 so maybe he's worth giving a ring. -
Poole Pirates 2021
TheMessiahOfTheBSF replied to Pirates Of Poole's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Just my opinion I think Poole need to sacrifice the 2nd Aussie reserve they're rumoured to want. If one of those top three have a bad night with mechanical issues or something then the tail end is not strong enough to compensate. Poole need a decent No.4 who has got the potential to become a No.3 or is someone who is at least capable of scoring 6+ a meeting to back up the HL's. Tail full of riders on 4.00 - 4.50 is very weak. Worth giving the reserve slot to a young Brit and then try and get someone like Palovaara or Grobauer over for the No.4 slot if Bjerre doesn't change his mind. -
Poole Pirates 2021
TheMessiahOfTheBSF replied to Pirates Of Poole's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Upset a lot of teams lol. Still one of those riders who can reach the 7+ mark if he's in the right frame of mind though. Me personally. I would rather take a chance on Bjerre's temper knowing if he's happy he can score highly rather than signing a Emil Grondal or Todd Kurtz knowing they wont do anything. rider who's worth looking at if he is willing to ride in the UK is Victor Palovaara. He's decent in this league and capable of scoring big points. Would have to go with a Brit reserve around the 2.00 - 2.70 mark though. -
Poole Pirates 2021

4.96 with Zaine Kennedy or Zane Keleher is a huge gamble. Cant go with 4 riders on averages under 5.00. Poole are in a bit of a bother with the final two imo. Rumoured names on this thread doesn't make for good reading. Emil Grondal is no good as POP said he's peaked and neither is Todd Kurtz been around for years and never done anything. Ideally Poole need Lasse Bjerre to have a change of heart otherwise the 1-7 could fall apart if they have to go with a weak tail. -
