Peterborough Panthers 2020
TheMessiahOfTheBSF replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The NKI debate could be over early in the morning. Wolverhampton announcing a NEW signing in the morning. Masters could be a dead cert for the No.1 race jacket at Peterborough in 2020 if he's not announced by Wolves in the morning. -
Hope it's Masters otherwise he will end up at the Showground and he's not a No.1.

Looks like the wooden spoon is going to make the short trip from Peterborough to King's Lynn. Why MPT was let go is a mystery. Should have kept him. -

Imagine coming onto the Peterborough thread trying to spark a reaction after being triggered on the Swindon thread over a bit of banter. -

Would jump at the chance of signing him but I'm not sure if he's allowed or chosen not to ride in the top league. Clubs would be throwing money at him to take up a reserve spot in any side and surely he would have been fixed up by now with his talent? -
Masters or Noddy who fills the last place?

Who would you take. Wells, THJ, New Foreigner, Berge, Busk Jakobsen? -
Swindon Robins 2020

Torun have done Tobi a favour. Tobi exits the Robins on a high note instead of being apart of the 2020 side that will lose all of the silverware they won in 2019. -
When I say reserves. I mean Shanes and co at the start of the season. Zach quit because he couldn't handle the job in hand. Shanes got sacked because he was crap. Jensen came in and Robins were allowed to strengthen the reserve positions with two Championship Heat Leaders.

This team would start as favourites on paper. No faults or weak links. NKI - GP Star & Track Specialist. Like Blupanthers has said above. NKI is different mustard around the showground. Hans - Bargain of the season! Low average due to injuries and personal reasons. Anyone would have a bad season if they went through the same emotions as he did. Even Doyle would. MPT - Knows the Showground inside out and has an away average just over 6.00. Harris - Other than Hans. He's the second bargain of the season. Bomber has an away average just over 7.00. Only reason why he's on a 6.16 is due to him riding Foxhall most weeks. Tungate - Stats don't lie. He's a No.1 around the Showground. Home average 8.27 BWD - Only reason why he isn't on a 6+ is because of his injury that ended his campaign. Almost 5.00 points to use on a No.7 who will be capable of chipping in with 3 or 4 points a meeting. -
Jensen signing won you the league. Robins were done for until he came in. Reserves couldn't hack it.

I would snap anyone's hand off for Ostergaard if NKI signs. Home form is key and Ostergaard is capable of scoring well around the Showground and as our No.7 he can easily way in with 4 or 5 points in every home meeting. Away from home most riders at reserve will struggle so it will be a level playing field. -

Ricky Wells & THJ both fit. What average would Rene Bach come in on? -

Hans' issues in 2019 have been well documented in today's press release. His below par performances before injuries didn't have anything to do with form. He will end up with an average between 7.00 & 7.50 imo. -

Still don't think NKI will join us though. Poland, Sweden, Denmark & The GP's so will still have to fly in and out of the country even though Peterborough home meetings are virtually on his door step. -

Wont see a better 1-7 than ours. Out and out No.1, Engine room full of Heat Leaders, Tungate who's a proven No.1 at the Showground & a guaranteed power scoring reserve all season long. 5 Heat Leaders, 1 Second String and 1 reserve. -

The plan has been confirmed then. If we get this then we are favourites for the title imo. 1. NKI 2. Hans 3. MPT 4. Harris 5. Tungate 6. BWD 7. Ostergaard -
NKI can be ruled out. Panthers waiting on a decision from him.

Must have done. -
Me neither. Good at home but away from home the team has disaster written all over it. Give me a 1-7 built like Panthers, Ipswich any day of the week. Both teams will have a game changer at reserve throughout the season as well as having riders in the 1-5 who are capable of improving.
