So looking back at the Eastbourne programme, Lewis Kerr has an MPA average of5.61 from 14 meetings. Not exactly inspiring when it’s a numbers game. My opinion of course

Clueless: maybe, then enlighten me more, in fact enlighten every one more. Supporter since 1977: seen thin & thinner over the years. ch958: have been on bus & car trips with you. Maybe just hit an age where entertainment & value for money comes before following “ the crowd” and going just because it’s the done thing. Not inspired by the changes hope they prove me wrong and we go on to win the league, the first since 1981.

Well R/R has worked for 3 months or we would have changed ages ago. If we had looked hard enough the riders may have been there. Poole managed in the end. So we end up with an injury prone gater who I can’t really recall passing anyone, that has reached his peak and replaced one of the most exciting , upward going rider we had with a big future ahead ( management words earlier in the season). So much for the loyalty that Ben banged on about earlier in the season.

So the rumours are right, very underwhelmed at these changes. Hope it works for Redcar, but sorry I won’t be there to see it happen. Like everything in life it changes, but not going to pay money for something you dont like.

It may be better than R/R, sorry, will be better than R/R but it’s only my personal opinion that if it is who is rumoured then the entertainment factor will be less. Just my personal opinion though

Speak for yourself, I would sooner have what we have now than the rumoured one joining us. Very disappointed.

Ok. Can you come for the second match only and pay £20. All I can see is a double header advertised. No option of second match only. Not money driven, purely time driven

Is there an option to come for the second match only for the normal admission cost. As said before some people work till 4/5pm and could maybe do match 2, but it’s not being talked about as an option. Apologies if it is advertised somewhere already

It has to be the practice starts as at Redcar the winning team regularly comes out on a winning parade lap with no helmets on and often 2or 3 on a bike

Does this decision include away meetings, or is it just home meetings? It reads as though it’s the whole operation but just not sure if it’s just home meetings. Thanks

With Jordan’s injuries and subsequent operation, will we go with R/R until he is fit or do we look for a sort term signing (easier said than done),to cover until he is fit?

A good race track last night, plenty of passing & close racing. Just my opinion but bend 2 exit looked rough/rutted from my position on back straight. Main match handled it ok but the second half didn’t. Experience I presume.

Replying as a Redcar fan who wasn’t there last night, I feel Birmingham are getting a lot of bad press over this meeting. For those Redcar fans with long memories, think back to Sunday’s match against the Monarchs. We had to have remedial work on bend 2 - twice if I am right, as well as several other track grades & water breaks. If we had a 4.30pm curfew we could have been in the same predicament as Birmingham. God help us if we had a bad crash to contend with as well. This is with full track staff and full track equipment and as many hours as you want to prepare everything. I know people will say it is an afternoon meeting etc but we should be careful what we wish for. It was hot & sunny leading up to Sunday & hot & sunny 4 days after leading to Birmingham’s meeting, so there track has had 4 more days to bake. All the bad press we have given Birmingham could come back to haunt us. Redcar had better have a really well prepared track for Friday or a lot of crap Will be coming our way. Pressures on track staff now I think.

Just read that Anders Rowe is in Poland for the world pairs final on Saturday, so is he still able to ride on Friday night? Also presume we will not have Jordan Stewart, are we allowed a guest as R/R would be no good if Anders was to be missing, in my opinion

Are tactical substitute rides allowed this year? Will be close over both matches, probably bears to just edge aggregate win if no tac subs allowed

I am sure I saw an advert/fixture for a Nora meeting at either Redcar or Scunthorpe in a recent Speedway Star. Apologies if I am wrong but will look back tonight after work to see if I can see it.

Got to hope that they start with the “2nd” heat leader position, and not the lower rider.

I know this was mentioned earlier in this topic and is regarding postage covers. We get Commercial Motor delivered by RTM media and they have switched to white envelopes in recent weeks from the clear/ polythene covers. Result is that it has been delivered every Thursday since the envelope has changed. Before it was erratic from Thursday to Monday deliveries. Possibly could help Speedway Star, although I do understand it has an expense attached to it.

Instead of lowering the team point limit, why not open up the premier/championship conversion allowance. It may enable a better rider to double down to get all teams out of a hole. Would also maybe strengthen the championship in the process
