Catch up with that tomorrow. Will be good. He is on the cover of the Star too. I have got it. Just had to do loads around the house today so i have not had time to read it yet. At least i have 2 Speedway related things to do tomorrow. Well make that 3. I will watch somebodys old meeting too. -
Phew. Glad that is sorted out. My expectations are quite low going into the season whenever it starts. That would have nailed it. The only thing making me think, No. We will do ok is simply because i cannot get my head around us carrying the dodgy spell on for so long after last season. I do think Charles will be the main man. He is home.

Was always said Geoff that we would suffer the most. We cannot afford another dodgy season. Or would we have to lower our expectations ?. Think we would have to. At least it would drag Swindon down.
-
Good idea that. My way is to read it twice. Then i bag a big bundle every few months. Whilst doing that i have another flick through. Suppose i get my moneys worth.

Touch before my time but very interesting. I will watch out for the big reveal. -
Yeah try and be patient. Mail is very hit and miss. Had some things the next day. Had ages with others. And worse than that, A cd did not come at all. Replacement was sent out.

No need to be bashing Poole. They have been a real elite Club. Maybe that is why they are getting stick. Top ones always seem to get that. i am sad they have dropped down. Had to though. Belle Vue fan saying this.
-
Agree they are entitled to it. If event does not take place at advertised time the customer is entitled to a refund. If they can afford to let the club keep it they should. It would help.
-
Hope the money was handed over. Might have 2nd thoughts or no choice to go back on it now.
-
Every Club will be different re refunds. Same with anything that have been paid for in advance. Some fans will need their money back, Some will want their Club to keep it to help them. On top of all that, I am not sure if Clubs will even be contactable at the moment. It is a tough one to judge. Patience is the word i am hearing the most.

Worst part of our Sport. As soon as one happens i am there saying, Get up, So i know you are ok. More often than not they get up as if nothing just happened.
-
Noticed the first edition of Cradley Heathens programme has gone on sale today. Curtis Sport website along with the other current/former Clubs.
-
EMTV is another doing a good job during this lockdown.
-
The programmes are a great idea. The current Clubs ones really are. But the defunct ones are even better. Oxford is a must.

Tai Woffinden book at £8.99
craigACE replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
In any Sport it always seems like the no 1 divides fans. That is the case in Speedway. Whereas other riders do not get pulled up about their personality, The best does. And of course people start saying, Is he the best ever ?. In modern times nobody comes near him. i actually think he is cool the way he comes across. Belting book. -

i thought the book would have sold more and got a better reaction that it has got. For me seeing it on the shelves in a big supermarket makes it worth it just for that. -
Do what they have to do right now.
-
People do throw things away. I have with certain Speedway programmes. Football/Rugby shirts/programmes. One i regret the most is when i knew Leigh Centurions were stopping doing programmes i binned my entire collection of them. I say bin bag them and put them in the loft.

The IOW masks look great. They are the No 1 Club for off track things. I have said that for a while now.
