Our commentators do a brilliant job considering the budget we work to. They don't have abundance of data or someone keeping them informed. Just the track in front of them and a TV with the stream before it's transmitted. -
Speedway Star front cover.

You're missing a big part. Nigel only died on Friday and the Speedway Star is signed off on a Monday. Very hard to get a full tribute done for him when the majority of the magazine is written. Not only that, every single writer for the magazine will have been hugely affected by his passing, as they're all his colleagues!! It has been said that next week will be all about Nigel, which will allow them to get the tribute he deserves. -

The double tap option isn't available but you should be able to scroll through the timeline? We also have been cutting highlights of just the races to save people who don't want the faff in between. I'd say the handover Comms to pits was much slicker for the Oxford meeting as we knew that was an issue. It gets better as it gets darker as they have a light to tell them they're live it's just hard to see in daylight On your first point, do you mean a little like the Polish coverage where two cameras are visible at once? We can clip up replays fairly easily, from different camera angles and different speeds too. The hard part is we don't control the meeting pace like Eurosport do so getting the replays in between races can be tricky. As a whole we just want to bring a product that makes most people happy. We understand not everyone likes the same thing so finding the balance will be key. We want to push ourselves as much as we can, the more signups means the more we can add onto our production for equipment/staff etc. My messages are always open if anyone has any ideas they'd like to put forward. -

We are looking at this. But wireless cameras are extremely hard to get reliable feeds from unless thousands are thrown at it. -

Android TV and Android apps work differently too making it another 2 apps needed. We've chosen iOS and FireTV as they seem to be the ones struggling most to get things working. Silk browser on FireTV is a bit laggy, and iOS can't use Chromecast due to Apple blocking its use in browsers. These apps will now mean apple and Android have the option to use Chromecast (£20 investment) or go the Firestick route (£20) if none of their current solutions are working. We'd love to include more apps but currently it just isn't affordable. They're VERY expensive! -
Andy has worked closely with both teams to jointly pay for the equipment he uses. He also has permanent fixtures in place at both venues.

Extensive research/the industry I'm in

You do realise a stream would cost around £3k? Plus a percentage of each sale to payment processing/platform costs. It is not just as easy as saying "it should be streamed"

The Future of Speedway Game???

I believe that image is from Berwicks Scott Courtney's project. However the Ekstraliga are also working on a console game too! -

The Swedish and Danish matches are available on TV in their respective countries. All the Swedish matches are actually filmed for ESS (Thier own version of BSN). FanSeat take a feed from these broadcasts, they do not create the broadcast. -

Fanseat is a very different model so possibly unfair to be compared. They only show meetings that are currently broadcast elsewhere by TV companies, ie they have the rights to show Eurosport meetings outside the UK. Eurosport produce the meeting. They can charge as little as £100 for 140 matches as they're not actually producing the meetings. BSN will have to produce the Championship meetings as they're not available elsewhere. -

You can't be too clever, there's only 10 playoff matches -
He finished his polish commitments before joining Scunthorpe

I'm confused, wasn't the track perfect and it was just Redcar whinging?! It's amazing how it's now being admitted that it needs re-laying but last season there was nothing wrong with it despite a plethora of riders from many teams stating otherwise.

Interesting take...I see two tractors side by side with enough room for another 4/5! It only needs to fit 4 bikes in

I think a big thing being missed when discussing "free" illegal streams is the format. Yes you can get illegal streams of Polish, Swedish and even Premiership meetings but these are broadcast on a television service which can be tapped into fairly easily. An online stream of such a niche audience is highly unlikely to be hacked and companies that provide such services have many things in place to prevent them. How many free Edinburgh, Glasgow or Redcar streams were available last year? Whether streams take fans away from the tracks is yet to be determined. Edinburgh clearly feel it doesn't affect their crowd as they continue to stream weekly (I think only Poole have additionally announced their intention to stream each week so far). There is a whole audience of speedway fans that currently do not attend meetings whether that be due to ill health or purely distance to their nearest track (even more apparent with weekday tracks). Whilst we chase the new fan, this will hopefully bring some revenue for the already converted but just can't attend.
