Fully agree here. Championship should be £15 max with any rider over 8pts pushed into the top league. If we don't have doubling up then we don't need fixed race nights!

Redcar v Leicester Semi final

I don't think Tom will be back, but I hope he gets a NL spot off the back of his performances this year. I think at the time there really wasn't anyone wanting to make the step up as so many were quitting after finding it hard. I'd expect someone like Dan Gilkes to take the step up next year and really hold his own. (In regards to averages it looks like we'll have to make a change or two) -

I disagree. If he gets in the way of an opposition heat leader, allowing our heat leader to win then that's a 2 point swing. He was never signed to score big points. Even some of Greaves heat 2 wins have been helped by Tom popping out the gate and slowing the opposition down. -

Jack Smith didn't want to ride for Redcar. He also didn't make a good team player which is what has drawn this team together since the changes. As for Tom, I think he's done more than was ever expected. Bringing in an NL rider of 6pt average who hadnt ridden that year was never to score points. Yet he constantly pops out in heat 2 and gets his paid win. For me, points aren't everything from reserve. He's been leading top riders like Proctor and Kennett which has allowed our heat leader to clear off for the win. -
Championship can run on a Monday, premiership just takes precident. However the premiership match has been rearranged for Tuesday now!

Depends which forecast you look at. Mine says no rain at all tomorrow in Redcar. And just light rain all day Sunday in Newcastle

A race can be awarded at any point, there is no minimum laps. However that race was well spread out, Stewart even seemed to be slowing but still under power so awarding was the fair answer -
Adam Ellis was unbeaten at Newcastle a few weeks ago and is under MPTs average. In saying that, Kerr, Pickering and Barker would also be brilliant guests

Barely even raining just down from the track. The track handled last night's rain quite well as it'd dried out fairly well Wed and Thurs -

Which is exactly why Berwick still get rain offs even with covers available -

Currently blue skies over the track. Just been down and it's looking in top shape, still quite firm! If the forecast is correct and we get no more rain then it should be a terrific meeting! -

Think you need to look again, MBA doesn't go to reserve as he can't drop below 4 -

Not sure it's possible as teams are declared. -
REDCAR V SOMERSET FRIDAY 30TH AUGUST
MartinBSN replied to Norfolk Bear's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Redcar received a telling off for the British Semi Final over running, hence the pulling of the plug last night as we're now on a last chance warning! Mid week the promoters were in talks with the council and even last week's meeting had an environmental officer from the council checking things after other complaints -

How many times can it be said, with rolling averages you can barely drop your average! Jordan was just unlucky tonight, but trust me he's extremely disappointed with his form of late -
But Somerset didn't even know until the 27rh that Atkins wanted to leave. It's impossible for all these changes to have happened unless you can redeclare a team and include a rider that's in someone else's current team
-
I'm confused. You need 3 days to redeclare a team. Somerset must have redeclared on 28/07 at the earliest (only found out on 27/07 that Atkins wanted out). So Sheffield have managed to redeclare, and then Leicester all before 31/07?!
-
So 3 days ago Somerset announced Kurtz was dropped. Within that time Sheffield snap him up, and Leicester sign Ty. All apparently done with the 3 days notice to redeclare?!
-
Both clubs are actually up for sale I believe! Also by my reckoning, if Ty was announced today then he could replace Bates with no reshuffle. Tomorrow is average goes above Bates'

I'm not sure this is correct anymore. Redcar posted it in their preview but it now says guests to be confirmed Edit: I'd imagine it's cause Etheridge can't guest. By my reckoning his average is higher than Morris -
Riss will only miss 2 home meetings. Tonight and next week, but guest facility is available next week. As for tonight, I still think Redcar can win! Cancelling will have crossed their mind but they'll also have some belief. Charles and MPT will score big regardless. If Greaves continues his run and Kasper can put in a performance it'll all be good! Rathbone and Woolley will only have 6 rides between them so as long as the other 9 don't have Redcar at the back...
